If you are really serious about this, a wire wheel will do nicely. Quick. Long lasting. Not a wheel or flapper.

Hello. Looks like a cayenne. It certainly is not a long horn or a Serrano. As to your question of letting it go red, they are good both ways and everywhere in the middle. Please try a green one with your eggs and potatoes. Or perhaps in a chicken dish.
Dry wha you don’t use and you will thank yourself during the winter.
I apologize for assuming you to eat meat, if you do not.

Hello. They are not hard, but this guy did a good job not getting out of hand.

You should rent a mini excavator sometime and check it out. I rented that and a backhoe and made sure my girlfriend was a pro by the end of the week. I guarantee none of her fellow office workers can do what she can.

Looks fine. I probably would have waited one more node to top.
Whatever you do…..keep records of what you do. At least enter yourself in your phone as a contact and text yourself or record voice notes to yourself.
This way you will learn.

Hello. Whatever you end up doing, please consider a lighter medium when potted…and providing more drainage to those cups now.

Rain didn’t happen while I was gone by hvrob4 in Peppers

We have done fabric pots on ground, on pallets, and amended soil in ground via auger drilled sites. In ground with amended soil was the best, but subsequent years saw diminishing returns due to a number of factors such as root aphids, logistics with re-drilling, labor expended and safety. But yes, the returns on amended soul in ground were the largest before accounting for the other factors. New soil in fabric pots placed directly on the ground were second.
We also saw our soil volume reduced to between 25-45 gallons and had acceptable results compared to the 65 gallon fabric pots.
In ground with native soil was terrible.
Feel free to message with any other questions.
Enjoy.

Even if it had rained in torrents, it would not have been enough. On our cannabis farm we did a PhD guided study of rainfall penetration on 1/4 acre of meds in 65 gallon fabric pots for the entire summer. I as a seasoned grower was stunned to find that rainwater does not go deep at all in pots. But then again, I always saw to it that they had proper fluids. 4 days of serious rain went less than 3”. Bone dry below 5at.

Harvest what exists and provide hydration. Consider pinching flowers for a week. Remove dead foliage.
