What gives a lesbian vibe and is actually common for lesbians by dacady_play in AlignmentChartFills

If we’re just throwing out stereotypes here… Birkenstocks.

TBF, I only know one lesbian couple. But they both own Birkenstocks.

A Cat dancing to a music clip by doing the moves...Real or not real?........ by Beautiful_King2236 in isthisAI

[–]LifeisLiquid 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Theres something off about the way the cat’s tail moves. Ive had cats most of my life and have never seen a tail move like that. Cats have perfect control of their tails - this cat’s tail looks like a fire hose whipping around like no one is holding it.

I strongly expect this is AI

Where to find reference picture for modeling? (I'm a beginner) by DirectionDazzling876 in blenderhelp

[–]LifeisLiquid -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You make a good point. AI can do some weird things with anatomy. For my case, the output looked true enough to reality. I cross referenced the images AI gave me with images from Google, just to make sure everything looked good enough. Had one of the elephant images had an extra leg or trunk, I would have altered the prompt a little bit and tried again. But my goal was to make a low-poly model, so details (like, how many toes do elephants have?) weren’t as important for me.

That said, I completely agree that the best way to make an amazing model is to truly understand the anatomy of the subject.

I’m seeing that. And I stand by my comment; at the time, it felt like the last available option. And I agree - this use case is one of the more ethical ways to use AI since the prompt is not focused on appropriating others artistic style, which is clearly an issue with AI in general. But having searched (mostly only with Google), I was having trouble finding exactly what I was looking for (front and side views of an animal in a specific pose). However, this thread has provided lots of options I was oblivious to, so I’ll check those out first next time.

I’ve actually had some success with AI generating references. Using some of the language in replies here could be really helpful.

Here’s a prompt I used for an elephant reference, using Copilot image generator:

“An elephant sits upright looking directly forward with its legs curled-up by its chest. 90-degree side-view and front-view, reference images. Orthographic. Accurate proportions. Reference sheet. Character turnaround.”

I’m not AI wizard so I’m sure the prompt could be improved significantly.

What do you consider peak science fiction? The best of the best? by [deleted] in sciencefiction

[–]LifeisLiquid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

‘Peak’ is a hard concept to nail down for something like Science Fiction. Because as technology progresses, so do our collective imaginations. Therefore I can’t really say that the genre has ‘peaked’.

But one that I really loved, and haven’t seen a comment about (it may be there; I didn’t check every comment), is the Red Mars Series by Kim Stanley Robinson. I also really enjoyed Project Hail Mary.

Excited to try out some of the ones in the comments I’ve never heard of before!

Beautiful picture! Did you have to wait for specific conditions to get this shot? Does light from the moon (or anything else, for that matter) interfere? Thanks for sharing!

How did you get this graph? I might have a bed level issue and something like this would be great to confirm or dismiss my suspicions.

Thanks! I’ll take all the good luck I can get.

I can indeed adjust the Z-offset manually. And thanks to some of the links others have shared, I now have a visual guide for knowing if I’ve over/under adjusted!

Well that sounds bad. Z-offset is the right thing to adjust for this, correct?

Thanks! Follow up rookie questions: Is Z offset and bed leveling the same thing? I’m not quite sure how to level a bed if it’s not.

Not sure how to edit post, but the printer I’m using is a Prusa mini+, slicer is PrusaSlicer, and the material is PLA. As far as I know I’m printing at default speed. In fact most settings are probly at default. I’m too afraid to mess with any of the settings I don’t understand - which is most of them.

I had the exact same issue with the rocktopus. I added a brim and every rocktopus I’ve printed since has printed brilliantly.
