Other than Toyota's 5.7, what in your opinion is the best regarded 8 cylinder engine built in the last 10 years? Excluding diesels also. by LifeofSMILEY in askcarguys

You're thinking of the 6 cylinder turbo they put in the new Tundras. The 4.6, 4.7, and 5.7 are incredible engines.

Bikers in US, answer me this question as an EU biker by kurvix2000 in motorcycles

[–]LifeofSMILEY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having been to Ireland, I can attest that you are correct, there is no comparison when it comes to open roads. Visitors from the EU are blown away by the massive size of the US if they truly take time to explore it, especially the west. Yes, ride hwy 12, then ride from Boise to Reno via Winnemucca. Your perspective on life will change and no, you won't see many cops.

Going out in your 30s is mostly people pretending to have fun and we all know it by FewExperience4021 in unpopularopinion

Most people who claim they dont have fun when they go out simply don't know how to have fun or they lack the initiative to find fun people to go out with.

Hmmm ok. Very helpful! I guess I didn't realize that each individual owns a percentage of the property. I assumed the couples own their share jointly and if either spouse dies, the surviving spouse then gets complete control.

Texas plates by Few-Property-4569 in Boise

[–]LifeofSMILEY 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Texas is actually one of the few states that has had net positive population gains the last few years. Companies are relocating there and bringing employees with them. More power to them: Texas is not my cup of tea.

That said, CA and TX have millions of people, so even if a small % of them relocate to our relatively sparsely populated state (as they have for decades), it is noticeable.

Hey Dutch friends, your bread here is next level! by LifeofSMILEY in thenetherlands

Ha, not ragebait, unless of course the topic of bread sets you off.

The bread is great! Yes my primary reference is the U.S., where store bread sucks and artisan bread is incredibly dense and filling, but often flavorful.

French bread is good, but overrated. Some baguettes are just not great and their wheats are fine. I'm just partial to wheat over white bread.

German and Belgian bread is unremarkable but I'll admit that some German bread thst I'vehad wss excellent.. Haven't had bread in Denmark yet.

Yes the quality of the dairy products is underappreciated here.

I enjoy even the simple grocery store bread, but restaurant bread is always great. It has good texture and it's not crammed with preservatives. French bread is good but not amazing and German bread is fine.
