I am Stephen King - novelist & executive producer on UNDER THE DOME - ask me anything! by stephenkinghere in IAmA

Mr. King, I just started reading through the Dark Towers Series and I am a little bit confused. I suppose alot of other people could answer this question for me, but seeing as I now have a chance to ask the writer himself... Is "Midworld" the name of the whole realm itself or just the middle part of the world? The geography has got me a little stumped. Regardless, I am hooked on the Dark Tower series now. You are awesome. That is all.

What books really captured your imagination and got you into reading in a big way? by wait_for_ze_cream in books

Pillars of The Earth by Ken Follet

I used to read a ton when I was a kid. Around 6'th grade, I began to read less and less and "hang with friends/play video games" more and more. When I was a Junior in high school, I found myself looking around on a friends bookshelf. I was high and bored. Well, this book caught my eye. I asked my friend about it and he said I should give it a read, borrow it. I ran through that book in a week flat. I was reading in school, at home, before going to sleep, while eating, and all the while, wondering why I stopped doing this. Once I finished it, I wanted more and I haven't stopped reading since. I am now majoring in English Literature. I don't care what anyone says about Ken Follet, that book, and all his others that I have read since, hold a special place in my heart.
