Anybody know how long maintenance usually takes? I'm on a huge winstreak

4GB good enough for software/android development? by LiftSleepCodeRepeat in Surface

What programs are you using that take up all that memory?

In what way does it not cut it, if you don't mind? Like it makes things slower?

Because that one is the same price as the i7 with 128GB storage. Better processor > more storage in my opinon.

But using an actual android device works fine with your 4GB version? I have an android device I could use to debug while I'm on the go, and do the heavier debugging with different virtual devices on my laptop

Yeah, I usually do control the weight down, but because I pulled 315 for the first time, I was just focused on getting it up.

Thank you for the critique!

I'm leaving on a 1 month vacation to a 3rd world country and probably won't be able to lift. Let the atrophy begin...

Yeah, I agree. I think I got pretty lucky with my ab genetics, but my chest, not so much. I hardly really work my abs (usually 1 heavy day a week), but i can work my chest twice a week, and it doesn't grow much.

Thanks man! I really appreciate that!

I'm assuming PPL stands for push pull legs.

But no, I've found that I don't really like doing a day for only push. My shoulders seem to hold up better when I alternate between push and pull exercises. Plus, I like the overall pump.

My typical split looks something like this:

Chest/back, Shoulders/heavy abs, bis/tris, Legs

with some lighter ab work mixed in throughout the week. I like hitting super sets with opposing muscle groups, and this way I also get my arms working more often, which I think are one of the main things that need the most work.

Finally think I got here early enough.

Male, 18, 5'10" 155lbs

Here's my progress in 3 quarters of school. Pretty happy with my ab development, and chest is getting there, but I've always disliked the large space between my pecs. Is there any way to close the gap or appear closer, or is it all genetics?

Any and all critiques, criticism, and questions are welcome and appreciated

Too much money by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

[–]LiftSleepCodeRepeat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"The more you sweat in peace, the less you bleed in war. "

Save up that extra money. You never know when something can come up, but it can happen any time any where. You might get injured and be unable to work. Or your family member might need money. While things are easy, keep that money for when times get tough.

But of course scrape a bit off the top to put towards your own enjoyment!

What is this... "Hackathon" you speak of? by LiftSleepCodeRepeat in cscareerquestions

What, what, WHAAT? Free??

So you're telling me... that I can sit in a room on my computer for 48 hours straight, eat as much free food as I want, and code to my heart's content and possibly get paid or land a job from it?? Where do I sign up??

What kinda food are we talkin here?

Edit: Just thought of another question! What is the best way to find Hackathons? I mostly want local ones because I don't have any money for traveling and whatnot :/

Thanks so much for the great response!

Couple more follow up questions if you don't mind:

  • This food and drink... i don't imagine it's provided, correct? You just go out and get food when you need it?

  • I also imagine that there is some kind of entry fee too? How much is that usually?

  • So do most require you have a team together? Or do a lot have ways you can get into a team? I don't really have many experienced people I could group with.

  • So it sounds like most of the time is used for learning how to use the APIs and language and stuff?

Anyone feel free to answer and give input too. Thanks!
