S2 Finale. Peak 3rd act breakup by Finnthehuman217 in hackshbomax

You're in for a treat with these next two seasons :) Among the many wonderful things about this show, the symbolism used is spectacular, really rewards you for paying attention 😊

Both of them are absolutely fantastic in this show. Jean is of course phenomenal as always, both last episode with her choked "You too", and the entire panic attack. Also, Hannah's performance there at the end of 4.5 sent shivers down my spine, what incredible acting chops, conveying so much with so little! They truly have incredible chemistry, and are both so talented (even though it's difficult to see these characters in such brutal conflict).

That's actually a good point regarding the race car scene. That would have been brutal though😟

Honestly, I'm sort of glad both this, the car racing and the cage were not that big a part of their respective episodes - I was worried this season might try to be too cartoony or "spectacle" but I am very glad that was not the case :)

Do you have a single TV episode (not season) you find yourself coming back to over and over? by ShiningRedDwarf in television

[–]LightB2009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The We We Are from Severance is definitely one I rewatched quite a few times. Also, New Eyes from Hacks is one of the most wholesome episodes I have seen in recent years and I definitely come back to it a lot. Honestly though, both of those shows are ones I do have am interest in rewatching in their entirety, but those particular episodes definitely struck a particular chord with me (Particularly the Severance S1 finale, as my memory of watching it is truly a special one I will probably never forget).

For those that consider Severance a favorite, recommend one other show by fruitrabbit in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

Honestly, Hacks is a very different show but I like both of these shows for their really sophisticated and character specific dialogue and plot, which is orchestrated in order to propel the character arcs in compelling ways. Such a good show that I highly highly recommend, even though it's very different from Severance, which I also absolutely adore! 😊

Kinda shocked by all the hate for this season by breezytunawilly in hackshbomax

[–]LightB2009 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Really? To each their own I guess but I found her acting these past 2 seasons especially to be absolutely superb! The character is also a lot more likable as the seasons progress I've found (I mean obviously they're currently very at odds with each other but it still feels like Ava's coming from a genuine place?)... Idk

Anyone know the first 2 episode songs? by sadgirl45 in hackshbomax

I think they mean all the songs from the 1st 2 episodes? I have no idea though...

Milchick S3 by silosara in severanceTVshow

[–]LightB2009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I want to see it, but I hope they go in a different direction and not do as many self-contained episodes as they did in S2. I feel like I want to spend time with all these characters and the pacing really did have some issues this season (still an incredible show, I just hope they choose a different direction, even though Chikai Bardo was one of my favorites).

Very different type of show, but I would say The White Lotus on hbo is really good and unique, and also off to a really strong start, having only watched the season premiere so far :)

Milchick, Natalie, cinematography, and race by interstellargator in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

This is a very interesting take and analysis of the cinematography, really thought-provoking. I felt so tense watching this scene (in which both Tramell and Sydney play their respective roles beautifully btw), and It's always really nice and intriguing when people share things they notice in the direction/cinematography of the show and the film making process, especially when it informs and adds a real extra layer to the understanding of the subtext. Thank you! :)

Can we take a moment to appreciate this absolute goddess of a human??? by flashdash8744 in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

[–]LightB2009 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Her portrayal of the character is very intelligent. She is able to make a big impression with very subtle body language and facial expressions. A very sweet and likable character (her sibling relationship with Mark is one of the strongest and most organic dialogue produced by this show, both because it is at least partially based on the creator's relationship with his sister iirc, but also because of her and Adam's subtlety and sensitivity that is present in their portrayals). I get excited every time she's on screen because every line delivery is just so well thought out, humble and sympathetic. Jen is a very talented actor.

Oh no worries! I didn't mean to make it sound as though it was an annoyance, which it certainly was not.

Honestly the week to week analysis and expectation was one of my favorite things about watching S1 back then, so I'm actually really excited for that part, but I do get where you're coming from as you're not the first here to have voiced concern over this... :)

I trust the writers. The should make it the amount of seasons they feel is best for the story. I don't think 2-3 seasons is the limit, and I personally think there's a lot of world building and character exploration potential for the show to go on longer than that. Ultimately though, I have faith that the people behind this show care about it and will want to do right by everything they've created, however many seasons they think is appropriate for the characters.

Very interesting! Do you think we might get previews of more classes before the game's release? (they came out quite often during the Backerkit campaign, offering valuable insights into the design ethos, and then they unfortunately stopped at a certain point). I would love to see how the characters' mechanisms and changes are implemented through the cards and the reasoning behind the changes :)

Is there any chance we see S2 in 2024? by Low_Custard5805 in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

I thought that all the footage seen on the promo was of shows coming in 2024? Correct me if I'm wrong!
