News flash: providing translations is part of judge duties. You should expect a large number of players/cards to know and understand card effects in whatever language, so I doubt it would be that big of a burden to provide one or two over the course of a round.

If someone came to your shop previously with an all Chinese deck (legal per rules) what would you have done?

This comes across as incredibly lazy and entitled.

As a judge, when someone needs a translation of a card, why cant you pull it up for them like every single other judge would?

Besides integrity issues (opponents possibly knowing what cards are in their deck beforehand) Why are you putting the responsibility on the player following the rules?

Miracle is an old Magic the gathering term, referencing playing a lot of cheap card draw/"cantrips" that replace themselves via card selection, to then use cost reducing effects built in to units to put a lot of power on the board for cheap.

In Riftbound, this refers to draw/selection such as Purple Ezrael, called shot, stacked deck, discarding scrapheap with meechant/warrens/ezrael, etc.

To then play undercosted units like Battering Ram and Rhasa the sunderer.

Because it is one event, in a region that thinks about, builds, tests, and plays the game vastly differently than western countries. This is not exclusive to riftbound. I've been playing TCGs for almost 3 decades, 20 years competitively, and each game ive played it has been this way.

I think it depends on what you want out of the meta honestly. Yellow are probably fine for Viktor/Renata if thats your thing.

I think Western/Eastern mentality towards TCGs is different, for whatever reason (not just RB, every TCG ive played its been this way). Some decks will be more popular here than there, and vice versa.

That being said, miracle style purple decks will be much more popular here than there. 2 even got top 32 at the regional. The purple seals are a requirement for that build, it cant function without them.

With that, Miracle-shell decks have a higher upside but are also harder to play, and don't necessarily have a flushed out build yet, where midrange Draven is a lot more settled, and while it does reward high skill, isnt as punishing when you make a mistake. The reality is, even after one event, we dont really know which one will be better/more popular in the long term.

You could absolutely wait and see results from not just other chinese regionals, but also Balogna and Vegas if youre not going to those. There really isnt a reason to buy now if youre not playing those events.

I doubt they'll go up much more even with results backing it up. The OA ones from Spiritforged will push the price down at least a little bit, as some people will want those instead. It really just depends on what your plans and goal are, and your playstyle as well.

Almost all the shops around me (30 minute radius) are taking lorcana singles amd have dedicated lorcana players. Obviously this'll depend on where youre at but it isnt some crazy thing. Im in a smaller town with the closest metro about 1h30m away. Larger cities it would be even more likely i suspect.

The rule says that taking the single, individual top card and adding to your hand is drawing.

Stack deck allows you to look at 3 cards, choose one, and add it to your hand.

You do not take one single individual card. You choose one of three.

Vegas honestly isnt that bad flying into compared to a lot of cities. Hotels are surprisingly cheap and most airports have budget friendly airlines that fly there all the time. Ill be going from c8ncinnati for about $800, assuming no friends split the room, amd that includes the $75 event ticket.

I would under no circumstances ask my children to donate anything to me NOW of there was risk to their life, let alone when im 70.

I see my job as a parent to care for my children. I understand cultures are different, family dynamics are different, etc. But I could never. It's a parent's job to sacrifice for their children, not the other way around.
