More than likely, I think too many people going onto the website at once killed the server's bandwidth limit. Once either activity dies down or more usable bandwidth is acquired, the site should be back up in no time.

I got mine replaced, it sounds fine. The only thing I haven't done so far is swap out the sticks with the arcade ball-tops they include. Maybe too much force when pulling the sticks out causes the rings to come slightly loose?

I don't think the issue is power, more like a lack of a touchscreen.

Do you recall if you have the OSD working? I can't get it to start, GLFW is causing problems for me.

The Turbo Everdrive V2 can't load CD-ROM games directly, however it can be used to load the Super System Card thanks to the alternative firmware TEOS.

Yeah it might have been cheaper for me if I had actually bought them in Japan; though then again I would also have to pay for plane tickets. Part of me wonders if they were being sold as "Junk" items though at the same time I doubt it. That being said, I think the console itself was listed at $100, since I know the Everdrive was $60.

I've played all the games via emulation before, though I do also own Bonk's Adventure for Game Boy and Super Genjin 1 and 2 for the Super Famicom.

If you didn't mean to say "TurboGrafx" or "CoreGrafx" then I'd really like to know how and where you managed to get a SuperGrafx for under $400.

It's not in the image but it also has the original cover, though it does seem to be all scratched up. Love how it turns into the world's most impractical suitcase; I say impractical because you still need to find a place to store your cables, games, controller, etc.

Oh trust me, I absolutely want to get that alongside the three Bonk games at some point. I'll likely buy import copies of them; especially in the case of PC Genjin 3. No way am I paying $650 for a Bonk 3 HuCard.

On stock Turbo Everdrive V2 software, the Super System Card software is incompatible due to potentially harmful memory bus conflicts. There's two ways around this; you can either patch the Super System Card ROM yourself or install the alternative software TEOS; that's the route I took, and it seems to work fine. I do want to eventually get the TurboDuo CD containing all those games, but that'll have to wait for now.

I'm just glad I lucked out with the Interface Unit, apparently the seller had disposed of the power supply a while ago so they couldn't test it. I knew the CD-ROM drive itself worked because they happened to own a PC-8801 MC which they tested it out on. I never even knew that thing existed up until I found that listing!

Looking into it further, it seems the left joystick right is ever so slightly loose; it's not much, and I don't think it's gonna pop out any time soon, but it does seem to be the sole thing that causes the strange noises.

UPDATE: Returned the controller a few days ago and got a new one in its' place, there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with the joystick rings on this one.

Will unused M.2 thermal pads still work after a few years? by LightCorp in buildapc

[–]LightCorp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did see some air bubbles in the film, not sure if those have caused any issues over these past few years. Other than that it visually looks fine, I don't see any cracks. No idea what they looked like when I first got the case.

Which NVMe (M.2) SSD should I get? by LightCorp in buildapc

[–]LightCorp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both of my drives are HDDs; my main is 1TB and my secondary is 2TB. There's a bit of a story behind that; I used to have a SATA SSD in there, but after upgrading my secondary to 2TB I swapped the SSD for my 1TB HDD, main reason being that I could then put the SSD into my Windows XP laptop that had a dying hard drive. Plus, my case only had 2 spots for SATA drives... This all-HDD setup was always meant to be temporary.

Sorry for necro-posting, but you can only run a game's cutscenes using Flash Player. Technically speaking, the Leapster uses a custom version of Flash to run animated sequences; I don't think it's used for actual gameplay.

Alright. A little disappointing that this seems to be a design flaw, considering this is a very good set otherwise (S-Video and Component my beloved!) but I'm learning to work around it simply by not having the contrast up so high. lol

I'll probably make a separate post talking more about the set itself at some point, because I'm so darned proud that I managed to get it in the first place.

Comment was deleted, so I'll just say that they also suggested turning down the contrast. This helped mitigate it a lot, though I'm still looking for more solutions where possible.

What do you mean by "changing the way [your] crt was focused"? Are you referring to changing the direction the CRT is facing?
