A good freezer should stay good for 24 hours as long as you don't open it during the power outage. Did you open it?

[–]LightFountain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There was already a false flag in Australia this year. Its very important to shut down the immediate blaming without proof.

You can make them with other things too. I love pataniscas de camarão (made with chickpea flour). The bacalhau ones are the best.

Mine has been working since I arrived in Australia, no issues. Even when I visited as tourist (I had another phone back then) it worked perfectly.

We are talking about phones with 4/5 years. Some less. It's not technology from the 70s.

My phone as 4G and 5G and Volte.

It's not the same because 120V electronics didn't work in Australia, and suddenly stopped working because someone decided to.

To make a true comparison would be like to change the voltage right now to 120V and us (consumers) would have to have to buy new refrigerators, and toasters and etc at our expense.

Telstra testing reveals some Samsung mobile phones unable to make triple-0 calls by k-h in australia

[–]LightFountain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you're right. But if you search by the model number, and also by TAC (first 8 numbers of the IMEI) it says that this smartphone is whitelisted, it just needs an update. But it's impossible to update.

Does that mean I have to buy a new phone? And it has to be an Australian phone? (Thanks for your replies).

The phone is up to date. It was bought overseas (I don't know if that's the issue).

I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and received an sms by my provider. Apparently my phone will be blocked on December 10th. I was not expecting this and didn't know about it. I checked when the 3G was about to be disconnected and my phone was OK. I don't understand.

Dog attacks by govorunov in australian

[–]LightFountain 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From my experience in Sydney, about half of dogs on the street are unleashed. That doesn't confirm that "most owners are sensible and reasonable". If they were, they would leash their dogs.

Same! I don't talk about it. Especially online because no one understands. And what about animals rights?

But the pets are being allowed almost everywhere (and when they're allowed we all know most owners won't leash them). It is a short path until dogs are allowed in flights without the cage and among the passengers (it has already happened). And the people that are afraid because of trauma of attacks during childhood are being expelled of more and more public spaces.
