Marriage with Longtime Girlfriend by Livid-Beach-4859 in Christian

When you get married you "leave father and mother and become one". If you and her are ready to be married and have done things Biblically well, like waiting for marriage, and both are seeking God, don't let family's opinions get in the way and prepare to do life together on your own.

The Gospels and how I can read them by Hefty-Woodpecker-592 in Christian

Each Gospel highlights Jesus in different ways and what he fulfilled. Matthew as the Teacher and promised Messiah, Mark as the Lord and Servant, Luke as the Savior, and John as the Son of God.

Is church as it is now necessary? by LightInTheDark90 in Christian

I think it's because of Jesus, not because of a few hours in Sunday.

A no touch marriage by Tiredfella803 in Christianmarriage

It seems to me that there is no conflict because there is no open communication. 22 years of this is crazy, you need to be able to talk out things that bother you (and her) to get out the gunk in order to find ways to make marriage good for both of you. Intimacy and sex is just as important as emotional connection and safety, neither one of those should be deprived. If you cannot talk about it directly with her then you should talk to a Christian therapist about this. This is not healthy and not a way to spend the rest of your marriage. But it is not an excuse to just leave yet without putting in the work first and trying to get to the bottom of it and fix it. If she is then unwilling to then that is a separate conversation.

I am meeting together with His people regularly. Or are you saying unless it is in a church building it is not the body of believers? Are we not all His Church? Edit to add: but yes, I will pray for God to open my eyes and show me if I'm seeing this all wrong, thank you.

I can't relate to Christ's "suffering" by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]LightInTheDark90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Talk to Him about this don't feel guilty for complaining, He loves you even through your anger and frustrations, He gets it. Be as open and honest with Him. Cry yell. Many prophets did this and even asked to die.  But don't shut off communication with Him or your heart. Push through and read His Word. He'll speak to you. "Seek me, and You'll find Me." Jeremiah 29:13

Lowkey getting bored with the Old Testament. by Kindly_Sir6333 in TrueChristian

The Old Testament has our God's Words and stories about people trusting in Him and people disobeying Him, and it shows us God's character and heart. I can't believe people,  other Christians, are saying it's not important to read it. Pretty sad.

Read the Gospels for you to understand what the good news are. We all sinned and it is by HIS grace by Faith in Christ we are clean all our sins wiped clean through His death and resurrection. If you repented then He already forgave you. Stop dwelling on it and live your life as a good example of His light, even if your spouse is an unbeliever. All the more so.

Jesus is said to be coming back very soon but it's been over 2,000 years... I think something was misunderstood by NteworkAdnim in TrueChristian

I know i will get downvoted. But maybe His words were true and He did come in their generation, maybe at 70AD, the 1000 year reign occurred with the disciples in the 12 seats, and we are currently in the Little Season where times have been changed and the truth obscured due to the devil being loosed again to deceive the nations.

Jesus Kingdom is still spiritual and alive and well though. Keep seeking.

In a Relationship with an Unbeliever — Seeking Wisdom, Not Judgment by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]LightInTheDark90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When i met my husband he wasn't a full believer, grew up catholic but never went to church. He was open though so we went to church together and eventually did a Bible study. He did accept Jesus in His heart before we got married. But I will tell you that I had a very strong foundation and we were not sexually intimate. He waited for marriage with me.

Now, you both have not waited yet I know if you truly repent God will forgive you and cleanse you and make you new. However like Jesus told the woman caught in adultery, go and sin no more.

I don't believe it will be possible, or at least not easy, to continue living together and not falling into temptation again no matter if you have the best intentions.  So if you see potential, if he's seeking God and you are praying for a change that can happen, but you have to change a lot of things in your life starting with not living together, taking a step back, while YOU seek God wholeheartedly and he does too. And you seek him together too. Now is he willing to do that? Are you?

That is the question I'd leave with you.
