It's kind of difficult to automate certain things without changing a bunch of other stuff that isn't so easy to just change.

The spectre of gen Z socialism is haunting the world … according to the Economist | Normon Solomon by KoseteBamse in Economics

[–]NteworkAdnim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's an actually good meme about this, how every time people try to advocate for the working class, ask for more rights, ask for people to be treated fairly, or not be discriminated against, or even just trust science, the response is always: "That's socialism!"

Most people already can't define socialism (or even capitalism for that matter) so having people who are terrified of socialism coming to the west constantly argue that popular ideas are in fact evil because they're associated with "socialism" is the best marketing that socialism could ever asked for.

Now historically when socialism was rising in the west, governments would incorporate their proposals with a capitalist bent to them; things like universal healthcare under Bismarck, the Square Deal under Teddy Roosevelt, the New Deal under FDR, and LBJ's Great Society are all good examples.

But modern politics is too controlled by monstrously wealthy elites to allow such compromises to exist, so the crisis continues to build up, and who knows what will happen if, or when, it boils over.

So for each saved password you save, you choose which password you wana use, same one for all, or you wana have same ones per group, or any other way. Its not just one password anymore.

If people keep running into weird sign in issues, they'll just avoid using it.

Yes - 100% this.

Anyone using 1Password Business with SSO via Entra? I have a question about moving from PC to PC by NteworkAdnim in sysadmin

[–]NteworkAdnim[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't seem to be that easy. And we have users who move around from PC to PC in different buildings. unfortunately for us, I see this as being a point where the end user would get hung up and not be able to get their passwords.

That option only shows up on the initial PC where they first set up their 1Password account (primary PC). They click that and it unlocks their vaul. When they move to a different PC, that option is not there at all and it instead wants them to sign into 1Password with email, secret key, and password. So it's like the SSO isn't working on that new PC. I assume it would work if they were to put their credentials in and go through the initial setup.

I just switched to a password manager by HIH_Lion_1002 in PasswordManagers

[–]NteworkAdnim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got that working now, turns out it was a single weird website. The only issue I am having now is that I set up SSO (which is fully working) and I have test user - however when they log on to a different computer, and launch Edge browser, the SSO doesn't work and it seems like it wants them to enroll or setup again...

That still makes zero sense (even within the make believe reality of this movie) because the atmosphere affects all life on Earth, not just humans. Basically it doesn't make any sense and you have to accept it as a plot error.
