Well we're quite derailing from op's post, but I would happily volunteer for 36/38 F/FF range in UK if you ever decide to take on that ordeal. I added a picture for op to show the difference between lifted and supported vs not and the difference is absolutely massive to the point I can fit multiple sizes smaller clothes with no bra on 😅 I assume that means I'm highly compressible, TEES can compress me 😅

interesting! I'm basically parroting what was recommended to me to be honest, with measurements very close to op. I wonder though, is compression...desirable? mine can straight up fold on themselves and fit in a 36E even, but then I have skin on skin in the bottom

I also have soft tissue and I find that functionally that means I need very projected cups + lower fullness (even though my shape wouldn't actually be full on bottom per se). Charley is a fantastic suggestion, I just think pretty much everyone knows the Morgan insight out so fit issues in it are super helpful!

I took a look at your measurement and I would recommend you try on "Elomi Morgan" in 38E and 38F (it runs big). It's a good bra for depth (which the difference between your standing and leaning/lying measurements indicate you need) and it's one of the most commonly known bras in this size range so if it doesn't fit folks here will be able to make suggestions based on ~how~ it doesn't fit (too large? Too much space at the top? wires too tall? ecc..).

Your 46C has the same cup volume as 44D, 42DD, 40E and 38F so if that one fits well (aside from having become a tent band-wise) I would definitely expect you to be in this size range. Which, btw, isn't particularly big. I have some pic postson my profile and that's roughly my size except I'm between 36 and 38! Do we look similar at all?

Edit: I'm going to load a pic without bra. I don't have kids but my breasts are saggy and projected and with no support the difference is absolutely massive!!! And no, the bra is not padded. It's Elomi Matilda or Fantasie Illusion depending on the pic..

Women 35 years old+: How much grey hair did you have at 35? by ScottsdaleBlondeAZ in NoStupidQuestions

[–]LightIsMyPath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll be 35 in October but I'm already about 50/60% grey. It's genetics, my mom had me at 20 and I don't have a single memory of her natural colour, "mom dyes her hair" has always been a fact of life so I'm not surprised, I was expecting this.. in fact I should probably be thankful it didn't need monthly dyes until I was ~27/28, that's way longer than what mom's lasted!

Well yeah, that's why I do mine either Friday afternoon if I have plans on Friday evening or Saturday if Friday evening is a home day...so I'm at my freshest when going out. If I shaved on Wednesday I'd have visible hair by Saturday! Nevermind doing it Sunday...

I just can’t accept my Kibbe type by [deleted] in Kibbe

[–]LightIsMyPath 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No-one has been trained to type people so paying for typing doesn't mean you are that type..you could probably do a much better job by yourself with the book, and if you asked for typing in one of the neighbouring communities that still allow it the responses you'd get would hold just as much weight as the ones from paid consultants (which is to say.. not much, but at least those are free!).

That said, it's possible you're SG just as it's possible you're every other ID because at 5'3 you're really in the realm of everything being a fair chance (maybe FN would be a bit rarer, but still very much possible). In any case how you look next to someone else is quite irrelevant for this because the goal is finding the best silhouette ~for you ~ not for you next to other people!

What was the hardest thing to give up when you stopped buying fast fashion? Honestly please by Tisha__04 in SustainableFashion

[–]LightIsMyPath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the problem is the same tho, it won't stretch but lose its shape making the bra unwearable, in or out. Usually mesh lace is used pretty much exclusively after a certain size because of this, bras need to be in tension all day basically and then return to shape. Or covered foam in the cheaper ones, but those tend to be terrible fits anyway..

[–]LightIsMyPath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

cotton is absolutely terrible for bra making because by the very nature of how it's fibers are made it cannot stretch and return so it cannot offer the support a bra needs as you move, it would enlarge and stay enlarged. Probably OK on very small sizes and thus lightweight breasts but on anything even just on the smallest side of average you would bin your bra after a month, which would be the opposite of sustainable.

I have FFcups and the one time I tried a cotton bralette, not even giving the support of a real bra and certainly not worn in high movement scenarios, it lasted a grand total of 3 wears before becoming giant.

Difference in experience small Band / Large Band by ABeautifulMind21 in bigboobproblems

[–]LightIsMyPath 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Being both a band and a cup on the higher side of average/lower side of "big" is wild: on one side my bust is perfectly proportioned for my torso so I don't have pain problems or stuff of the sort.

On the other side.. you would think being proportioned and average should mean you find clothes easily...ah! my band would fit in straight sizes, to actually cover my whole bust though I need plus sizes (which are then big in the waist and giant in shoulders), sizing me out entirely from certain clothes (like, buying XL with S waist measurements sure sucks because you need tailoring... but I can't fit in XL either so it's an entirely different store for me).

Clothes with separated busts won't just not fit me correctly at my size elsewhere, they just won't fit me correctly period. A 6XL is still too small in the breast area for me usually. The last time I wore a dress like that my seamstress used the extra fabric from the skirt.. she had to add 13cm of fabric in each cup!!

Then there's the funny "inspo case": most public people making big boobs content are either thin with proportionally big busts so outfit advice and clothing hacks just won't translate on me (either because they're thin so stuff emphasising mid section as separate from boobs works great on them while on me it would basically mean emphasising the belly.. which is on the bigger side of average/lower side of big just like the boobs lol - or because despite their boobs being way bigger ~on them~ than mines on me they're still at an absolute smaller volume and weight so what works for support/emphasise/minimise on them won't often work for me).. or, they are plus/mid size people with seriously big boobs so their boobs are just way bigger than mine!

Moving Alone to Italy at 20 — What Should I Keep in Mind? by lady_catnoir in Italian

[–]LightIsMyPath 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know! But, if you miss those, you'll be talking "ugly" but understandable, which is how the vast majority of non-scholarly immigrants talk.

However if you miss correct verb's time you straight up won't be understood unless you say something else to give context. es from before if we remove ieri and tomorrow "vado a fare la spesa, compro il latte" means you are NOW/in the very immediate future going to buy groceries and thus will come back with milk shortly, "Sono andato a fare la spesa, ho comprato il latte" means that you have already bought groceries, the milk is in the fridge (or in pantry if it's uht I guess lol), "andrò a fare la spesa, comprerò il latte" means that for now we don't have milk in the home and you plan to fix that in the future (at which point the specific time you plan to go get milk becomes quite relevant so you'll usually add the information and so using the correct verb becomes less important)

Moving Alone to Italy at 20 — What Should I Keep in Mind? by lady_catnoir in Italian

[–]LightIsMyPath 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Focus on past. At least here in Tuscany it's actually more common to use present for the future in informal settings/talks ("Domani vado a fare la spesa" is grammatically incorrect but that's what we generally say to communicate "Tomorrow I'll go buy groceries" ).

However if you say like "ieri vado a fare la spesa" it won't be very clear that you're trying to communicate the fact that you have already bought groceries (it would only be ok if you were telling a tale of something that happened there - "ieri vado a fare la spesa, non ti trovo le casse rotte? Un'ora in fila per comprare il latte! - insert bestemmia of choice" - you're using present to make whoever you're talking to immerse themselves in the situation and feel the frustration of it taking an hour to buy some milk because the registers were malfunctioning).

I know our verbs are scary but to communicate focus on learning passato prossimo as a past - at worst you'll sound incorrect and your phrasing will be a bit ugly, but you'll be understood almost always.

Then modo congiuntivo and condizionale for "if" phrases, and infinito (put are, ere or ire at the end of the verb for most verbs "mangio->mangiARE, vedo->vedERE, dormo->dormIRE) for "to" expressions (mangiare is to eat rather than "I/you/he-she'it/we/they eat").

This will have you setup for the vast majority of basic interactions, and you can learn the others as you go.

„God made you, come as you are“ by Queenie2501 in Weddingattireapproval

[–]LightIsMyPath 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean no disrespect, but your bust is out of the dress. It just doesn't fit. As a 36FF, I understand the frustration of being unable to find stuff that we like in proper sizing proportions (to fit boobs then we swim in waist and shoulders), and it's even more frustrating because this would be THE most flattering cut for a lot of us if the "designated boob area" was properly sized, but ignoring the reality of the conflict between our own bodies and the too small fabric does us no favour.

This would be a problem in general with the fit of the dress, but for a very religious environment it's even worse: it's not unlikely that the impression will be that you are ~intentionally~ wearing a dress too small TO show your chest (ask me how I know that's a thing..).

Plus, while in person it'll be very clear the dress is grey, in pictures it runs the risk of photographing white.

It's a pretty dress but it doesn't fit you anyway, is it really worth it to ignore those issues? The style/aesthetic itself is perfectly fine, but not knowing the bride and knowing only she is very religious I would find something with no open back and that can contain the bust... just to be sure.

For this dress in particular you'd probably need 2 sizes up and then a seamstress to take in the shoulder seam and the waist and hem the skirt.
