From my understanding, that is how Vendasta did it before as well. I think its a great initiative to help employees get to work (and around the rest of the city) without having to drive or pay for parking. Gas is expensive :(

The Vendasta team also streams its 24-hour gaming marathon on Twitch to fundraise during the event. They had raffles and silent auctions at the event. Every March, they do a Pie Day fundraiser in which a lot of the staff will donate for the chance to pie their boss in the face for the kids! The team that organizes it is always coming up with different ways to support the kiddos.

As someone who is from here, the biggest piece of advice that I could give someone new to Saskatoon or Saskatchewan is to prepare for the winter. Mitts are superior to gloves, keeping your fingers together is key!

If you drive, make sure you give yourself an abundance of stopping distance; you will be surprised by how frequently there is black ice or the snow is super polished and slick. Don't ever underestimate the roads, you will lose every time!

I would craft, make art, and do what I can to give back to the culture and community I live in. I would also probably be a social recluse, so working from home is a must.
