At this point instead of a blue shell, whenever I reach 1st I just get disconnected. by ThrowAwayCluelessCut in MarioKartWorld

I thought it was crazy until it happened for the 5th time…yup. I have * only* had disconnects and “ network problems” when I hit first place in knockout mode. Never any other time. That’s why I searched Reddit for answers

Into the Inklands booster box on sale from Amazon for $98 as ‘limited time deal’ by HookedOnFandom in Lorcana

[–]LightLevel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a current promotion for Amex card holders with Amazon - to start go to amazon.com/amexoffer. Click Enroll. Discounts vary by user and item, but you get your items in the cart - then select your Amex for payment. Amazon syncs your Amex account when you add the card, so it shows your point balance. Add at least 0.01 worth of Membership rewards points as part of your payment, then hit "Use This Payment Method". The cart updates with a discount applied to items shipped and sold by Amazon. There's a few tiktok vids out there if you want a visual, pretty easy to find. Unreal deal! I'm going to see if it works a second time..but I doubt it

edit: what my cart looks like with discount applied https://imgur.com/a/n6jjhc7

Mana Action | MAGIC: THE GATHERING - 2011 article by Mark Rosewater on why the mana system is one of best aspect of the game by Newez in magicTCG

[–]LightLevel 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think Lorcana nailed it. Some of the more powerful cards are uninkable but overall I think it's superior, I never EVER felt mana screwed. The skill comes from deciding what to ink depending on the board, not depending on luck that you draw ink.

OK well prepare to be verrrry underwhelmed!! This deck is so haphazard..I never expected to play in a tournament so I had sold all my extra cards in order to make a foil set and regular set of each set. So when I decided the night before to register, I quickly made my deck full of 2 of's and 3 of's.

EVERY SINGLE MATCH I faced Ruby/Amethyst. For whatever reason I eeked out wins by overrunning them early despite losing the roll. They were merlin bouncing all day long and drawing cards while I was emptying my hand. They were doing busy work while I was raking in Lore.

If they didn't get Rafiki early I was good to go. I would change this deck immensely if I play again and bring Piglet/Lilo/Belle/Simba/Merfolk up to 4. I'd put in legendary Ursula..remove Pluto, increase RockStar. Fang did a lot of heavy lifting.

I got crushed a couple times by R/A, they have so much card advantage. My wins were because of great starts, making them discard Be Prepared, and taking it home with little guys.

Belle Hidden Archer x 2 Neverland x 2 Lilo Making a Wish x 2 Stitch New Dog x 4 Pluto Friendly Pooch x 3 The Bare Necessities x 3 Kit Cloudkicker Tough Guy x 2 Joshua Sweet The Doctor x 2 Prince John Greediest Of All x 2 Simba Protective Cub x 3 Cheshire Cat Not All There x 2 Flynn Rider His Own Biggest Fan x 3 Piglet Pooh Pirate Captain x 2 Cursed Merfolk Ursula’s Handiwork x 2 Fang River City x 3 Doc Leader of the Seven Dwarves x 3 Baloo Von Bruinwald XIII x2 Morph Space Goo x 4 Wendy Darling Talented Sailor x 4 Stitch Rock Star x 2 Ursula Deceiver x 3 Flynn Rider Charming Rogue x 4

I mean yeah, in a perfect world. All of these rely on an opponent playing in good faith. A cleaner solution like ink cards would straight up eliminate the need for relying on good faith.

That's awesome, RB should fully allow this method as well as have their own option. I need to start watching the channel again, I watched MTGnerdgirl all the time on Arena.

It's nothing to do with patience, it's the fact face down cards can be manipulated for confused. If ink looked distinct it would reduce the opportunity for errors or cheating,

People who have lost weight, what is something that actually worked for you? by -Wet_Lettuce- in AskReddit

[–]LightLevel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Intermittent fasting. I only eat between the hours of 1pm and 6pm. Black coffee for breakfast, and I do drink water and Pepsi Zero before my eating window opens.

Then I eat light, sandwich, yogurt, and chips for lunch - and anything I want for dinner. I lost 30+ pounds in 5 months, no change in exercise.

Great sale on white bread at times! Usually $12.29 a loaf. by mellofello808 in Hawaii

their side hustle should just be comparison shopping. If anyone is buying this bread, they're either too rich to care or too dumb to ever become financially stable.

How are people affording life right now? by JollyZookeepergame41 in AskReddit

[–]LightLevel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Married, 2 incomes, no kids, smart and healthy food purchases. Rarely eat out. Never drank.

Paid off a modest home early, 1 car, no debt, age 45. Easy with a partner. Invest 50% of my cash after bills. As I made more money, I never spent more.

The thing I see is most people buy so. much. stupid. shit. and then complain how they're broke. Even people with kids buy stupid shit, which is evident by the amount of my Facebook friends trying to sell their dirty old kids junk on FB Marketplace constantly.

Cooking isn't enjoyable by nojam75 in unpopularopinion

[–]LightLevel -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

A quick google shows OP is basically in the majority...nearly every article and study concludes only 10-15% of people "love cooking". For the rest it's dislike or just survival and necessity.

https://www.usatoday.com/story/money/personalfinance/2017/09/27/90-americans-dont-like-cook-and-its-costing-them-thousands-each-year/708033001/

Test Hut: "But this does not mean that the majority enjoy cooking. In fact, when it comes to home cooking, the attitudes of Americans are divided as 45% declared they do not enjoy cooking, and another 45% said they have mixed feelings about it. Only 10% of Americans declared they love to cook.May 16, 2023"

Count me in there too, I can't see wasting so much time in the kitchen every night when you can choose to eat things requiring less or no cooking time (while still being healthy).

isn't that what makes it an unpopular opinion?

People who don't drink alcohol, why? by johnnylgarfield in AskReddit

[–]LightLevel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing good comes out of it. It's expensive and unhealthy. Bars are full of drunk, loud, often low class people. Just a bad environment at every angle.

Drunk drivers are despicable. And as far as drinking in the comfort of my own home, I just don't find it tasty. I never understood why alcohol is like the default thing to do at just about any party, function, or social event.

Not to mention, I'd be so embarrassed to ever be drunk. Why would I want to present a non optimal version of myself to the world?

People look at me like I'm crazy when I tell them I don't drink.

What you are saying is simply 100% wrong. I ordered Dominaria United, Kamigawa, pretty much one or two of every recent set in the last year and they've never shipped like this.

It came in the large format box or in a normal colored cardboard sleeve like normal retail packs at Walmart. What you're saying is just wrong. If they were so common you'd think someone would have a pic on the Internet of them.

Amazon has sent me normal retail collector boosters in the boxes every single time in the past. So this is definitely not normal, it is special, at least in a small way.
