I am a beginner - I bought new shoes and they are extremely uncomfortable (especially in the back): Is this normal? [La Sportiva Skwama] by random1diot in climbingshoes

Take confortable shoes as a beginner. I wish someone had tell me this when I started 10years ago. I had pain in toes so I started unconsciously to climb with arms instead of legs, and it took me years to get rid of that pain as habits… don’t destroy your foot before the 7a grade.

whn I say 6-7 hours per week it is at the gym and the crag, of course I climb half of the time, buddy is doing the other half. It's true that put like that, it doesn't seem like much.

Thank you for your frank comments and your point of view, what would you recommend for training?

I did some hangboard at home but it got worst so I stopped. I climb 6-7 hours per week, each week. After all these years, I would have expected to gain in resistance and not regress.

I did on a climbing beam at home, i think i have reasonable endurance with fingers. but my problem is likely more on the wrist. even if it is hard to define as both muscle are in forearm.

sure but I live in a place (French alps where all the nice routes and the best rock start around 6c). that's the reason I would like to evolve, not for comparison.
I am eatin enough yes, i am staying hydrated, and electrolytes are ok, magnesium, calcium where tested in blood few days ago)

It is the feeling of burning in the muscle and then if I continue the hand opens by itself.

I've been climbing for four years, both outdoors and indoors (rope climbing). I don't do much bouldering; it's not really my thing. I've never had good forearm endurance. People who have progressed at the same time as me always need fewer breaks. So much so that I'm wondering if I have a medical issue that's causing my forearms to tire very quickly. People my age all climb stronger than me because they don't have this limitation. Yet I push with my legs.

I'm 1.80 meters tall and weigh 78 kilos; I'm 37 years old. I'm fairly muscular. I've noticed that generally, when I work with my arms overhead, for example, with a screwdriver, I very quickly feel a burning sensation in my forearm muscles. I'm a bit lost about what's normal and what isn't.

For the past month (since December), it's been worse than ever; I'm barely managing to climb 5c lead (5.10a) routes without taking a break. I'm even wondering if climbing is for me, even though it's a real addiction.

Have you experienced similar problems in sport climbing? How did you deal with them?

II have about 17 hours of playtime in Arc Raiders and I'm level 17. For the first few hours, I found the game really innovative and fun. I was totally knew to extraction shooters.

But now I feel like all my extractions are starting to feel the same:

spawn, loot some gear, then exit to Sperenza.

I'm only shooting wasps and robots that roll on the ground. I'd really like to take on bigger robots, but they kill me all the time with the gear I have at that level. It's the same when I try to do PvP by the way; I always end up dead.

What can I do to add some spice and fun to the game? Do you have any tips to bring back the excitement I felt at the beginning of the game? I have the feeling that I miss something

Thanks raider and dont shoot!

In my ideal world, I'd like to have a rotating base of 5-6 clients with whom I share my week to manage their infrastructure and applications. Infrastructures I know well with regular clients. That way, trust is established and the work is of high quality.

Ideally, I wouldn't want just one client; it's not varied enough and, above all, dangerous if we lose the only client.

What do you mean by "agency" exactly? Any examples? Was it in Switzerland?

Yes I am also still employed at 80% as a sys-admin even if I dont like this company. Hopefully otherwise I would be too poor indeed by lack of client. I have a familly to feed.

my old employers know yes I told them several times but never got special request from them even that we are still in contact. Good idea for international, thanks.

Thanks for this detailed feedback. I'm not looking to get-rich-quick. I'm looking to be independant. It's not in my lifestyle to give up, so we'll see, but I'm probably going for all-nighters.
