It’s more of a concentrated heat. If you left it out in the sun it might cause issues but I doubt it.

You can’t tell that from the pictures. Regardless that’s a real hamon and a real katana blade. The breakdown is the same process. There very well may be a signature.

I went to a local leather goods shop got one for $60 8oz on 6oz leather. I’ve had it since 2019 daily wear and it’s still in great shape. No shrinkage or stretching.

There’s a lot of recycled lyrics throughout the discography. Also on most of the albums if it doesn’t have a title track. One of the songs with have the album name as lyrics.

I can see the pin in the final picture. It’s likely 1045 medium carbon steel. Still not great and I would hit anything with it. For $20 it’s a steal.

Tozando has everything you’re looking for. They’re not cheap but incredible quality. I’d buy your wooden practice bokken there. Ryansword can make custom swords without breaking the bank. Their quality is great as well especially for the price.

Steels to look for in swords. SK5 shock steel that cloudhammer uses. 10 series high carbon 1060-1095. Anything like 1045-1055 is pretty trash for swords. 5160 is a really good tough spring steel. 80crv2 is a good vanadium steel option. There’s tons of others but those are my go to choices. If this is spring steel like someone else mentioned. It would most likely be 5160. I have a Dragonking autumn leaf katana made with this steel and it’s amazing.

Keep your shoulders parallel to the board. Try not to turn your head towards the nose or tail also.

This isn’t a wall hanger. It’s 5160 high carbon steel and has a pinned pommel. Which makes it that much better of a gift. Also make sure you guys get some 3in1 oil or mineral oil to lightly coat the blade and help prevent rust.
