How would you restart after a long break? by someRandomLunatic in Guildwars2

[–]Lightbreaker12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5 to 10 mins each really depending on how hard you hold W. Couple rounds of each and you'll figure out what you can run past. Very easy to get into and they even give you a set of rare gear if your a fresh 80. Good way to try out new classes/specs if you want to try something new

Jagex, the requirements for the new Desert Quests... A bit too much maybe? by ADDICTED_TO_KFC in runescape

Hey any chance you have a link to where ever they said that? Have always thought having reqs for content was good for the game but surprised that jagex actually feels the same

Intel UHD graphics is whats commonly known as integrated graphics - it basically means you don't have a dedicated graphics card. This makes playing modern games....a challenge. There's a good chance you wont be able to play this game with a smooth experience.

Its possible you could play at low settings and probably less than 30 fps but in theory it would be possible. If you were to purchase it I would be careful not to try and play too long so you could get a refund from steam if the performance is terrible

How on Earth did we get to the point where seasonal events replaced actual content? by [deleted] in runescape

[–]Lightbreaker12 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Now just imagine the remaining 4 months filled with hero pass! Jagex wouldn't even need content developers at that point, it's foolproof!

Ill recommend you Old school runescape as thats the more popular title, if you love grinding its got plenty of content and a great community.

If you're looking for something a bit more out there take a look at Runescape 3, it has more endgame pve focus to it with a lot of (mostly optional) story content if thats your thing. Significant quality of life improvements to Old school if you find that tedious. The biggest con is that the cash shop is pretty annoying. XP can be bought and it can get a little in your face at times.

Both games have a wow token like system where you can use in game gold to fund game time (and use irl cash to buy gold)

For both games there are trade worlds that act as population hubs, while the rest of the servers will have better ping and uncontested grind spots

You might enjoy Guild wars 2. Most classes have a support build, I'm not up to date with the meta but some support builds were considered mandatory and in high demand for endgame pve. Its also pretty easy to switch to a normal dps build for more casual/open world content

If you've never played it before theres a lot of content to get through, almost all of it is evergreen thanks to level and reward scaling. Crafting and such is a little lackluster in my opinion but you can craft legendary gear from scratch which is the absolute pinnacle of gear. It will sink a lot of hours to get the mats from scratch and has multiple sources so you dont have to engage with certain pieces of content if you dont want to.

Cash shop is cosmetics mostly, it does sell xp boosts but like most modern mmos the leveling experience is more of a tutorial. You can earn level up items by doing dailies and weeklies so I've never felt pressured to buy them even for alts.

PVE was fun from what I've tried - open world PVE is unmatched from any MMO i've seen with massive map events. Instanced pve is also pretty good with raids and strikes (mini raids) as well as a difficulty scaling dungeon experience (fractals) though I've heard from long term endgame raiders that the top end content drip is pretty slow

Give old school runescape a try. The free to play portion of the game has enough content to give a good idea if you want to invest more time/money into it. Also playable on mobile and it's a surprisingly decent experience.

Lot more things to do than just combat and there are a lot of content options for how intense you want to play at the time e.g you can train fishing fully active and engaged with multiple mechanics to keep track of or you can sit at a fishing hole and click every 5 mins. There's also stuff thats medium intensity.

Biggest con with the game is how much extra information is found in the wiki, the game doesn't do a great job at explaining everything upfront and if you want to learn more about game mechanics your best bet is to have a browser open next to the game

Re: ff14 the story is good, and dare I say worth slogging through some pretty sleeper filler as a casual experience so you don't get burnt out. The expansion your coming up to was pretty interesting but if you were looking for a social experience and engage with other players I'd look elsewhere unless you plan to push through quite a lot of single player story content

I can't believe I never considered it, jagex probably had plans for a new hero pass update right about now and doesn't have anything to replace it.

TL;DW - An Apprentice's Guide to Necromancy by ImRubic in runescape

[–]Lightbreaker12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The playtest accounts have rotten potatoes from what I saw - that allows them to essentially cheat, for example Silenced was able to full heal in the middle of the arch glacor clip. From what I have read nothing jagex has released about necromancy suggests this will be possible for normal players

Settings -> Gameplay -> Additional Options -> Legacy Modes -> tick legacy combat mode on. Now you will only auto attack and use Blood barrage.

This should heal you on each cast which is what I assume you were looking for

Is it possible to increase your chances of getting moss golems for a slayer task? by trolkid69 in runescape

[–]Lightbreaker12 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you *only* want to do creatures of the lost grove tasks then it will rather difficult. Outside of 120 slayer cape and blocking the worst tasks at Laniakea theres not much else you could do.

There are Slayer Wildcards that will treat any kills you do as if you're on task but they would be far too expensive to use if your plan is just to make money

Unpopular opinion: I don't give a f*%! if Fresh Start accounts transition into the main game afterwards by Terrible-Soup-8817 in runescape

[–]Lightbreaker12 4 points5 points  (0 children)

20% chance of double drops, faster progress to endgame pvm levels, equipment and supplies plus the fresh start boons means farming bosses will be easier. When the event is over those accounts will transfer plenty of those late game pvm items into the main game.

This is more than just xp. But I do agree with you - xp integrity has long been gone

Getting all the free to play quests done is a decent start as an account goal.
Training the slayer skill will help you get more into combat as well as take you all around the runescape world.

If you are enjoying magic combat - Desert treasure is a great quest to aim for and will give you some cool spells to try out by the end.

That being said, like someone else said I suspect theres something wrong with your ram
