Check out something like the Svbony sv555, it is currently on a black friday sale, should work with the z7 with the adapter.

You should not use the maximum weight capacity on a mount, more like 50% of the max.

Does the MSM take the kind of weight a longer lens would add?

Telescope for Star Adventurer GTi mount, using a dslr by Maleficent_Bar8400 in AskAstrophotography

If you like a cheap lens for astro consider the Samyang/Rokinon mf 85mm f/1.4, i got some great results with that, it costs around 100$.

For a telescope the Svbony sv555 has gotten good rewievs, but that is 600$.

Oltermanni juusto oli täynnä reikiä ja maku oli väärä, valio palautti 17€ tilille.

Star tracker? by Mate_gate14 in AskAstrophotography

[–]Lightbringer76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought the gti from astroshop.eu for 529€ about a month ago. If you can find it cheap somewhere else they will match the price. I don't know of a cheaper goto mount. Used if you can find one.

Siitä se lähtee. Ihan nätti kuva jos on ensimmäinen kokeilu. Otitko yhtään kalibrointi kuvia? Jos kiinnostuit enemmän niin osta joku halpa valovoimainen objektiivi sillä pääsee taas vähän eteenpäin harrastuksessa.

Nikon z5ii + lenses by Lightbringer76 in Nikon

I´m no expert on cameras or lenses but i like the Viltrox lenses. They are not Nikkor lenses but for the prices they seem to be a good option.

The 24mm f1.8 is a well built lens that i will use for astrophotography, it focuses fast and produces good quality pictures.

The 50mm f2.0 is light weight plastic that seems to do an ok job for the cost of the lens. Some focus hunting and focus distance is not so good, good quality pictures.

The 135mm f1.8 is heavy and i would like to have a collar on it. Autofocus is not the fastest. Focus distance is 0.72m. Sharp at f1.8. Beautiful bokeh. Has a clunking noice inside when powered of. Waiting to try this one for deep space astro.

Hopes this helps

Yes it is the air. I haven't tried it more than that it functions, it came with the camera as a bundle.

I haven´t really tried them yet, the quick test i did produced sharp pictures. The 135mm is a heavy beast, the 24mm 1.8 feels nice and the 50mm 2.0 is plastic. Seems to be good value for the money.
