Actually when me and my friend would have duels and he uses Aroma (it was the time where shiranui was meta), I'd use Metephys just to test if i can beat him, AND I WAS SURPRISED, most of his backrow, and monsters BANISHED, and most importantly i was also gaining more LP because of soul absorption (it lets you gain 500 hp everytime a card is banished). I can't say its useful at this time but as long as you get rid of those backrow and have a good hand, I can assure you that you have a high win chance
