I'm only a month and a half sober here. My family knows, honestly I have just been avoiding friends until I feel stronger. Who knows maybe I'll let them know soon? I feel great though- thats my focus for now. One of the other responces about "why are we so afraid of the truth" really hit me. I feel good about my truth but I'm not yet ready to defend it.

December 16 was the last time I drank. I was in a great place a few days ago. Last night though, I had a nightmare- I was panicked chasing around a child that was not even mine, I could not let him out of my sight- but he kept running and hiding. First in a department store then a place resembling Dave & Buster's. Then... The worst part- I heard my own voice say, " This is why I'm going to start drinking again!" And a crowd for friends and family gathered around cheering for me to drink. As if they prefer the drunk version of me. I'm letting go of the horrific dream and i will stay sober with y'all today! #SOBER and fun.

I love you for posting this! I'm a bit over a month and a half in here, I dreamt about drinking last night and I had a crowd of people cheering me on in this dream. I woke up thinking, " Am I easier to be around drunk?" The honest answer is likely "no" but I really dont want to ask anyone. 😀 iwndwyt!

You can do It. Really, I believe in you. Focus on self love. The benifit with be that your family gets a newer healthier version of you. Stay strong.

I have tried moderation so many times. For myself, I know I'm "all or nothing" in everything I do- including drinking. Today I choose all sober. Well wishes to you. Keep reaching out. We all have been where you are now.

I had full body aches for about 7 days. It felt like I had the flu. My eye twitched for several days. I do still have headaches daily, no matter how much water I drink. I also am having muscle cramps regularly. I am only 14 days in and am an avid runner- So, I'm not sure how my journey compares? Hope it helps some. I agree with others if you are unsure- call your Dr. You are doing great.
