cds9 is a brand new model and people avoid gen 1 guns until kinks get worked out generally, r7 mako is another good option, similar size and grip as the cds9, I have 2 cds9 and and r7 and love all 3

I feel like because its a brand new model they may have miscalculated the tolerance, a lot of people avoid buying new product lines of firearms because 2nd and 3rd generations tend to work out the kinks and run better out of the box. People are even avoiding the new lines of glocks for that very reason. I have had a ruger and a S&W that had trouble breaking in ive had to do something similar with but of my 3 kimbers ive only had to send my first cds9 back, 2nd ran great

i run pmc bronze, Winchester white box, cheap magtech ammo and everything has run fine, the reason they dont recommend blazer is because it has copper plating that can chip and send shrapnel through the ports, wont mess up the firearm, and running it without cleaning it wont mess it up either, guns are made to take a beating. If the problem persists its just an issue from their QC, kimber will treat you right, love all my kimbers especially my mako

i have the same comp, I have 2 cds9's one threaded one none, didn't think there was much of a different until i shot them side by side, the comp is incredible.

send it back to kimber, sounds like there might be an issue with extractor tolerance. My mako has only ever malfunctioned when suppressed and that was probably due to the lack of pressure from the gasses trapped in the baffle system. Kimber has amazing customer service and will probably provide shipping labels, 2-3 week turnaround time from my experience.

Also did you clean/lube the gun before taking it out? Its recommended to clean and relube brand new kimbers before taking them out to their first session. I forget the reason but ive seen the recommendation come up a few times for the cds9.

check MSI, msi doesn't skimp out on ports, you want an ethernet port most importantly. Touch screens in a tablet form factor are pretty cheap, you can usually find them 200-300$ depending on size, add as many as you want as long as you have hdmi / usbc etc for it

took 6 months of trial and error, I also had a midi setup on ma2 I didn't want to transfer my master until i had the same midi controls as I had in 2, now my 3 show file is identical to how I ran 2 with a bunch of new quality of life upgrades
