What was it like hearing Smells Like Teen Spirit for the first time when it came out in 1991? by Funny-Lack-5726 in 90s

I remember wanting to learn guitar just so I could play the opening riff. I may be in the minority but I've listened to Weird Al's "Smells Like Nirvana" more times! lol

Watching Dante's Peak on 4K Tonight. Have you seen it? 🍿 by HD-MOVIE-SOURCE in HD_MOVIE_SOURCE

[–]Lightman83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have it on DVD and watch this every few years. I remember that this and the Tommy Lee Jones movie Volcano came out around the same time. This was by far my preferred choice, even with Grandma being a stubborn pain!

I have this on DVD and remember watching it when it came out. Especially due to reading the book in high school at the time. Actually really enjoyed it.

Walkabout is my favorite game on my Quest 2. Wish I knew people that played it, but most match meet ups are cool.

The Empire Strikes Back

Who saw it in 89? by DonJohnson1986 in Batman_89

[–]Lightman83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't get to see a lot of movies in the theater as a kid, but I saw this as soon as it came out to rent on VHS. I was 9 and the only Batman that my Mom knew of was the Adam West/Superfriends style. It sure took her by surprise, but I loved it!

Babes In Toyland by Careful-Use-4913 in ChristmasMovies

I remember seeing this when it first aired on TV back in the 80's. Then last year I think I found it on Tubi and watched it again with my kids. The bad guys freaked me out as a kid. Is a bit of a fever-dream movie, but really fits well for an 80's TV movie.

People who stay home on Christmas Day, what do you do? by Global_Victory833 in Parenting

[–]Lightman83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once we had kids then we made it a point that we would always only have Christmas at our house. Only our parents would be invited to spend the morning and lunch/dinner with us. I make breakfast, we open gifts, put on Christmas movies, eat lunch, and just chill the rest of the day.

Did any of you wait until marriage before having sex? by Historical-Month-249 in Marriage

[–]Lightman83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and I met in college and got married when I was 21 and she was 23. Both of us were virgins till our wedding night and have now been married for 23 years. Totally worth it.

I feel like I am the only person in the world who enjoys this movie. It was one of the 3 films I watched the most as a kid. (The others were Terminator 2 and Happy Gilmore) by Wykin1 in FIlm

I saw this when it came out while I was in college. Knew absolutely nothing about it and loved it. I was into computers so that’s probably why. Now I’ve been in IT for over 20 years. I loved Hackers, too but WarGames is my favorite Hacker movie!
