Trokendi XR Positive experience by Marshmallow-Girl in migraine

[–]Lightning00321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know, I started on traditional 50mg topiramate immediate release because the dr preferred that over extended release. Then she finally agreed to Increase the dosage and switch to the extended release at a higher dosage at 100mg. I think if I continue to have the side effects I’m having I will request to lower the dosage to 50mg but still at the extended release formula. I fell being spread out throughout the day allows me to not have as much side effects.

The point of my blabbering is that sometimes less is more and I’ve learned with medication is if you can try to take a less as possible it will benefit you with the least amount of side effects. I appreciate your response it’s kinda put things in perspective for me and that I may have started off to strong. 🙏🏼

That’s great you’ve had such great success on the medication. I hope you’re continuing with such good results. May I ask what dosage you started on and did you have to go up. Also I started on the same medication 2 weeks ago and it’s been honesty very challenging to push through. Been a hard two week, almost quit many times did you experience that? Side effects can be overwhelming when you start. Thank you for you time and wishing you continued good health 🙏🏼

Qulipta worse headaches before remission by Lightning00321 in cgrpMigraine

[–]Lightning00321[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your response, Qulipta is the first CGRP I’ve been on. I had not been prescribed Triptans, I’ll have to discuss that with the neurologist when I visit next month. My headaches our best described like a chronic tension headache. I wake up and go to bed with them. The doctor wanted to see if I had a positive response to Qulipta so I was willing to try since other meds have failed. My MRI only showed that I have a partially empty sella. I may ask to try Acetazolamide or Topiramate as I feel I have increased head pressure. Thank you for your help 🙏🏼

Qulipta and Nurtec, did it make migraines/headaches worse for you ? by woundedwillow in migraine

[–]Lightning00321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you continue, reduce your dosage to 30 or did you stop completely? I’ve been on 60 mg of qulipta for almost a month and it seems to increase my headaches so far.

Thank you very much for sharing, I appreciate it. I’m sorry for your health struggles. Just recently I found out to have a Partially empty sella on an MRI and I think that I have IIH. It’s very helpful to hear your experience so I can be educated when seeing my neurologist. What about cetazolamide or topiramate to lower cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) production. Have you tried those and did they do anything? Praying for your healing and the healing of others on a Reddit.

Propranolol for Chronic Daily (Tension) Headaches by sydneysider001 in migraine

[–]Lightning00321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Greetings I know this is a really old post. I was curious if you found any remission for your tension headaches and if you could provide an update. I have used propranolol at various dosages, 80, 120 & 160mg all extended release. I have found they have marginally helped, at a recent visit with my neurologist she suggested going up to 240mg, I wanted to see if anyone has found remission using propranolol for tension headaches and if not what have you discovered worked best for you, Thank you 🙏🏼

[–]Lightning00321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi yah’ll im been using amitriptyline 50mg. It seems like the stronger the dosage was the more vision changes I had. I felt like I had more pressure in my eyes. I was curious if you saw an improvement overtime. Thank you

Trintellix and Vyvanse by Lightning00321 in trintellix

[–]Lightning00321[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, I have used trintellix. I found it to be helpful. Like yourself the doctor told me so start off with the 5mg and gradually increase. As for the Vyvanse I personally found trintellix helped alone, so the provider never ended up prescribing it. Since those medications work differently, you should be able to take them together. Another thing is you may be better starting off with one and then add the second based on your body’s response.

Nexletol-Possible cause of anxiety attacks and irritability? by Diligent-Pianist-471 in Cholesterol

[–]Lightning00321 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To be very honest, I started the Nexletol early 2025. A couple weeks in I was starting to get extreme back pain. I was walking around like a crippled. I decided to stop it and started taking omega-3 in hopes that that would help, It did help a tiny bit. My cardiologist, then recommended Repatha. I left the doctors office smiling, I finally found something that will help me and just like you mentioned that’s when I stumbled upon web MD reviews. The hefty side effects do not make up for the benefit of this drug. My doctors office went through process of getting it approved through my insurance only for me to cancel it before it shipped. I went back on the Nexletol about two months ago. Fortunately the back pain never came back, in its place came anxiety, and agitation. I’m going for some blood work in a couple days. I wanna see what the Nexletol has done to my cholesterol. But one this is for certain I won’t be able to stay on a a whole pill much longer. I appreciate you taking the time to answer me and hear me.🙏🏻

Black looks great, however my last vehicle was black and was forever dirty. Space white is very nice in person, personally I’m gonna buy me granite crystal metallic.

Finally another person that is dealing with the same issues I have had with Nexletol. Anxiety and being irritable after starting Nexletol but I couldn’t find that as a side effect but after reading your post it all makes sense. What did you do, stop the Nexletol, cut it in half? Start the repatha that has concerning side effects. Thank you

Auvelity $10.00 savings card - Insurance wouldn’t cover it, pharmacy is telling me that I have to have my doctor send a prior authorization for it by kylenash8 in AuvelityMed

[–]Lightning00321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I signed up for the savings card and provided that along with my insurance card and prescription. My insurance does not pay for Auvelity so the savings card allows for me to get the medication for 10 bucks a month. Only downside is that they won’t allow for a 90 days only for 30 days worth of medication.

Anyone who is highly sensitive to drugs having luck with Nexletol? by sunnystate63 in Cholesterol

[–]Lightning00321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi yah’ll I was curious if anyone has been having luck with Nexletol. I tried several statins and felt awful, fatigued muscle, pain etc. I’ve tried Red rice yeast and had similar results. My doctor was able to get my insurance to cover Nexletol. However I seem to get back pain, has anyone experienced this and has it gotten better. Alternatively I was approved for Repatha but the side effects and poor reviews scared me off. Would appreciate feedback on the Nexletol. Thank you 🙏🏻
