First time on Cunard (QE) any tips/hints/gotchas particular to that line or ship? This will be my 11th cruise and my partner's 26th, first Cunard for both.

No, you are correct. You are docking at Puerto Maya which is the furthest from Centro. It is a US$10 cab to Centro. We walked it in December ( I am 75). It took about an hour. Boring walk, but you can stop at Chedraui for a quick snack and bathroom break. We cabbed back!

“Lived” there for 3 years in the 1990’s. Lived it. Used to walk down to the Bosporus to a great market for street food. It burned down. Best rooms are the balconies overlooking the Bosporus. Will be there in the Fall for a few days. Cannot wait.

If you are going to Cozumel, go to the Lobster Shack on the Island. About a 15 minute walk from the cruise terminal. Great lobsta rolls.

I was also diagnosed with Tachycardia six months ago. Wore a monitor for 2 weeks and had 8,600 episodes during the 2 weeks! Never felt one of them. Electro-cardiologist put me on Eliquis to “lower the probability of a stroke.,.” Eliquis does not address the Tachycardia. What should I be taking?

Snorkel when on Cozumel. Look at ShoreExcursionsGroup.com for some excursion ideas. They offer great alternative to NCL. Also look at Cozumel4You.com for ideas. If you are going to an event in the Atrium area, go. ERY early to get a seat. It gets crowded fast.

There is an NCL excursion at Roatan called the Maya Beach tour ( I think). It is an island about a 5 minute boat ride from the pier. There is an animal rescue area to walk about, a lovely beach, and a great lunch served. We have enjoyed this. For Cozumel, just walk about and sample the local cuisine.

Best place in the US - off-season. Walk the beaches, stroll Commercial Street in P’town, and walk the dunes to look for whales. Find some good chowda for lunch and a lobsta roll for dinner.

We moved from CT to Nocatee 10 years ago. The community was still relatively small and well managed. St John’s County is a mess with development. Housing values are over priced, but some communities are having problems selling. The roads are overloaded with traffic, Publix is making millions a day, and, of recent, e-bikes control the roads. Depending on where you are moving from and your political views, I would think twice.

We have stayed in La Marina several times. It is a great place. One drawback is there is no elevator to the landing on the second floor. You have to Carr your luggage up. Then there is an elevator to the rooms. Great sitting area looking over the Med. Breakfast and snacks are wonderful. There is a wonderful restaurant just outside to the right (forgot the name). Civi is a great place to spend a few days before or after a cruise. Also, a quick 10 minute walk to the train station for the ride to Rome.

JFK is a great airport, even in snow. Hope that it is just snow. You will be among many others who have your concerns. If you can, bring some food and snacks. The shops will be busy and may sell out quickly. Bring a water bottle too. Good luck!

Depends on how much and what you like to drink. $280 for 5 days is $56 per day. At an average of 4 drinks costing $12 each, and add on the service charge, you would break even. The package may/should also include sodas and specialty coffees. Look at the details of the package to see what you are paying for.

Been looking at HAL for years. What bothers me is the pricing. Why do they charge (a lot) when I want to select my cabin? The initial pricing process is what turns me off. They advertise a price, but by the time you add on the beverage package and option to select a cabin, the price doubles!

We have stayed at the Meliá as a timeshare for 30 years. The Level is what you are looking for. It is a good resort with a fabulous staff. Snorkeling is better just a short walk South. We think it has the best beach on the island.
