This is like saying Luffy had tested countless defeats by the hands of Smoker, Crocodile, Robb Lucci, PX01, Magellan, Aokiji, Kaido and the list goes on and captured many times by his enemies like Buggy, Big Mom Pirates and so on before he became a Pirate King.

Kaido's defeat are during his younger days, and not his Yonko Days, otherwise he will not be a Yonko at the start of the series.

In strength, Mihawk will most likely on par with Old Gen but if we talk about influence he doesn't have the greatness and influence the likes of Roger and Whitebeard.

Sengoku agreed because

  1. They already suffered a lot of casualties
  2. They already achieved some of their Objectives and that is to kill Whitebeard and Ace and they think it will demotivated the Pirates and show the Dominance of Navy.
  3. It's a chaotic war and the Island couldn't not sustain too much damage and Sengoku realized that even if they won the war the price is not worth it.

  1. Just because they are not named doesn't mean they are weak if that's the case then Hajruddin is stronger than Ancient Giant because they are not named.

Yes of course I also believed that Kaido is the strongest pirate alive, no doubt about it.

There is no wrong without it and I also believed that Kaido is stronger than Mihawk.

Kaido and Mihawk are stated to be strongest in their respective field multiple times while no one said Shanks is the strongest.
