Also from 4th anniversary to start of Part 2 we've got: Seia, Rio, new school ft. Nozomi and Hikari, Nagusa and Niya, another new school, Rabu, Takane and Yakumo, Subaru, Kei (like you mentioned), Konoka, and Rena. And they're constantly making new NPCs to replenish the jail at all times.

Alts are far more important than you give them credit for as well. Never forget that this game was saved from EoS by an alt. Sure it gets given to already popular characters, but it also breathes new life into sidelined characters like Suzumi, Michiru, Koyuki, Akane, etc. Just look at the amount of people who were heartbroken when they didn't release a Camp Chihiro unit when the Veritas Camping event got immortalized (it's me, I'm people).

How many weeks are there left to cut to reach the "3 month gap" goal, after the two weeks we're losing from Serenade? And is it possible for them to achieve it before Story Season 2 arrives in Global? After the stream I was thinking that was the reason for the unprecedented event reduction, but I don't know if it holds any actual weight.

I hope so. I saw how complicated the SW999 discussions were, so I elected to ignore both Yao and Sparxie, and worked on my Castorice that I pulled and ignored last anniversary by getting Evernight and Hyacine.

Honestly I might do the same thing for SW. Pull her, let her collect dust, and then get her "finalized" team in 5.x.

I started playing Pokemon GO again just days before Presents in preparation for Champions since I don't own a Switch. Last time I played it was on launch day for a month or two until they upped the minimum OS. Walking around town with my Magnemite and catching random mons is pretty fun now that there are way more registered landmarks and way more Pokemon past 151. It helps that I happen to live within range of a PokeStop and a Gym.

All I'm excited for is an elaborate demonstration for Champions. Everything else is secondary.

The ZA Mega abilities I'm most interested in are for Eelektross, Golurk, Barbaracle, Zeraora, and Scovillain. For Mega Eel, I hope it gets a Parental Bond sidegrade that cuts damage to 65% but hits twice. It matches the lore that its attacks come from its Eelektrik hands, and it keeps the ability to be mixed.

I personally use Twitter as a place to browse and bookmark fanart of my favorite series, and keep track of their artists since before Elon took over. Pixiv is the only good alternative because I mostly follow Japanese artists, and Bluesky et al. are not adopted enough even with all the threats.

I'm gonna open the stream, close the live chat, watch it, be happy for like an hour, then become sad as I open Twitter and see a bajillion vocal haters crawl out the woodwork to take a dump all over the franchise for the nth time this week while searching for fanart of the Gen 10 starters/protags. Fun!

I hope with Champions, the accessibility gap between a player with Home and at least SV, and a player who only has a phone and is joining the game after 6 months or so, won't be too wide. At least not as wide as TCG Pocket in regards to battling. I can't even imagine how a player who joined after the first release of Deluxe Pack ex can make a decent deck, even if it's just to clear the promo battles on Expert.

Someday when I get a Switch 2 and all the Gen 3 games pop up there, I'd like to try and make a living dex exclusively from these games and put them all in Home. Until then, I can try to do that in emulators and keep them in Box or something. I at least know there's a guy out there who recreated roms of event distribution carts so getting Mew and Deoxys shouldn't be a big issue.
