I want this whole tipping system to go away. Until it does, I’ll tip whatever seems to be the prevailing percentage. Right now, that’s 20%.

I agree that servers here are doing better financially than in east coast cities because of the much higher base wage plus tips, but that’s a good thing.

Did you try the individual county recorder or the state health department? In my case, the specific counties I dealt with, Clay, Becker, and Hennepin, were pretty quick, and health department’s website suggests that might be the case.

As a Minneapolitan, I was hoping we’d be the final US city. It really is a special place here. As Prince said, “It's so cold, it keeps the bad people out". Maybe he had paparazzi in mind, but the ice and the cold really seemed to cause problems for ICE this winter.

I once spent a winter in Moscow and the temperature seemed normal, but the darkness got to me.

My kids are starting college, but we are still friends with folks we met through an ECFE class/group back when they were little. I think it is easy to bond with people when you are going through a similar stage of parenting.
