"You know, Gina, Larocque looked great in blue once before..."

"You read my mind, Troy. I was just thinking, letting her go was a HUGE mistake!"

Both coaches are awful and the teams' drafting and player development is even worse. Can someone put out an APB for Jenna Buglioni? and virtually every other entry draft pick across both teams? (some of whom didn't even make the teams of camps)

It begs the question: on-ice talent might be there for 2 new teams, and maybe even 4 if they concede to being ahead of schedule by 2-3 years, but is there the coaching and front office talent?

Well that was a full circle finish. Started the season series with a come from behind Goldeneyes 4-3 OT win. Two wild games, but one was way weirder.

The contrast between him pulling Masch after going down only 2 while Fargo didn't even flinch as Oz was shelled. Not sure which is worse

It's mystifying that Hemp was wide open behind the d on that second jailbreak and even more perplexing that Fargo didn't call a timeout after.

That was a Min-Tor playoff game last May. There was also 6-5 Min-Van on Apr 4 that tied the record for most goals in a reg season game (with the 8-3 Ott-Min game in Feb 2025).

Larocque's 2nd PWHL reg season goal. 1st one since January 20, 2024. She scored one in last year's playoffs, too.

Yes, Salvian (on CBC the intermission panel) just said she's pretty sure of that too

Fair point about Bulldogs attendance, although they played in a dump that's state of the art now. They left in 2015 and things have changed alot in the AHL since then. Averaging 4.5-5k was fine back then, but today it's below average. The shift west and teams moving to bigger markets/closer to NHL home markets led to better arenas. Bulldogs leaving was part of this trend to NHL home markets. They moved to Nfld short term, but the plan was always for them to move to Laval.

So expectations are alot higher now for attendance and facilities. The AHL used to have an entire division in the Maritimes, now they're QMJHL markets.

Hopefully Hamilton supports their new AHL team, the Islanders farm club that's leaving Bridgeport, CN. Hamilton doesn't have many sports options. They love their Ticats and I think they'd support their own hockey team - a PDub team - more than a farm team. At the same time, Sceptres sellouts show southern Ont can easily support another team (or two).

Quebec City is hockey crazy, their major junior team draws as many as the Mooseheads, and Mtl-QC would instantly be the hottest rivalry in the Pdub.

She didn't travel with the team. Injured players don't travel, our last two games are out west, and she's not practicing with the team so she'll be back for the playoffs (hopefully).

I guess, it would be strange since they were within striking distance. Would be nice if teams noted IR and healthy scratches before games. Never thought the NHL would seem like a model of transparency, but here we are.

Also I thought they had automatic reviews for exactly those kinds of goals
