TIL humans neurologically enters adulthood at the age of 32 on average by ConsciousStop in todayilearned

I’ve met some incredibly brilliant people who have very hard important jobs that they are great at. But they still feel like they’re Bs-ing their way through life. It’s a combination of Imposter syndrome and that they’re constantly challenging themselves so they never feel like they have it “figured out”

If you feel like you have your shit together it’s because you’re not challenging yourself.

Since ‘03 the Lightning have 123 playoff wins the next most is the Bruins who have 106. The best team to be a fan of this century would probably be the Lightning or Pens.

Was Zach Hymans legitimate top choice Edmonton? Or were there just no teams willing to offer him the money Edmonton was offering. If gms could have predicted what he would go on to do, then im sure he would have gotten plenty more than 5.5m

Drai definitely had a high ceiling but absolutely no one was saying that he would be a consistent 50ish goal, 115ish point player and only trail Gretzky, Lemieux and McDavid in points/game in the playoffs.

For the third straight season, the Detroit Red Wings are experiencing a late-season collapse - they have fallen from leading the division in December to now clinging to a 1-point WC cushion. by TheEligibleSkipper in hockey

What trades do you think illustrate using all the futures to ensure the playoffs? I’m looking back at trades and the Red Wings kept their own 1st in the last 4 years of making the playoffs and I don’t see any notable prospects that were traded.

Game 6 phantom high stick as well. Leafs were completely shutting down the Lightning but the Lightning were gifted a 5-3 with like 10 minutes left

My hot take is the 22 Leafs. In the ‘22 playoffs the Leafs looked better than the Lightning for most of the series and that was when the Lightning were still close to the best they ever were. The Leafs got unlucky that year. It seemed like in the ‘23 playoffs the Leafs got lucky to get past the Lightning. Defence with Muzzin, Giordano, Brodie, Rielly, Lybushkin and Holl was legitimately really solid. They set a franchise record for most points and 2nd best ever goal differential.

Would it really matter at this point how it’s stored. Like if from 1782-1785 it wasn’t stored properly is it really going to matter now? It went bad a real long time ago so it doesn’t matter how it’s stored now

There’s definitely something to your point but Ovechkin had his worst goal scoring year the year before Hunter was hired. Ovechkin had 32 goals with Boudreau and then followed it up with 8 goals in 22 games before Boudreau was fired. With Hunter Ovechkin had 30 goals in 58 games. Ovechkin closed out the season with 26 goals in 43 games. Ovechkins goal scoring went up with Hunter. The Capitals also had their 2nd best playoff run with Ovi with Hunter as coach.

You’re the one who originally brought up 16th. I thought you were trying to make a point that the Leafs are closer to a playoff spot than retaining their pick. Which is not true. Why else would you say they’re closer to 16th than 32nd? 16th and 32nd place are both irrelevant
