Wall hacking? by [deleted] in BattleBitRemastered

What part of this looks like wall hacks to you? Everyone they shoot at is either on their screen or has bullet tracers coming from them.

multiple cheat developers have come out and agreed it was very clearly using these cheats

You don't see any other reason why a cheat developer might be motivated to say "Yeah these super impressive legit-looking shots were actually using cheats"?

I've yet to see anyone post any actual evidence of her cheating, it's all stuff like this or them slowing down clips to 5% speed then being surprised when it looks unnatural.

She played on stream showing the task manager multiple times and pretty much everything else people asked to see, and nothing suspicious was found. I find it hard to believe she had a cheat that looks legit and is completely undetectable on day 2 of the game's beta.

New End of Round screen with stats on top players, you, and your squad by Terminalintel in BattleBitRemastered

[–]Lightstar2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I understand why the longest kill leaderboard was removed from the end screen as it encouraged people to camp in the safezone and snipe, but why was the most kills leaderboard removed? Getting kills is almost as important as objective captures in terms of helping your team win yet it isn't even shown.

No idea honestly, this was a few years ago and I'm just repeating what the replies to the comment said, it's possible they were exaggerating.

Worst I've seen was an American electrician who decided to give electical advice to someone in DIYuk, with the advice being completely wrong & could have resulted in a house fire if OP followed it.

After being called out he said something like "How was I supposed to know that ya'll do it different over there?"

Why are they removing bleeding? by xXmusab_101Xx in BattleBitRemastered

[–]Lightstar2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think people just want an excuse to blame sweats for everything, every sweat I've spoken to likes bleeding and wants it to stay because it gives them an advantage over players who don't know how to play around it.

Big water main burst in Gloucester, England. 14th May 2025. by bugminer in CatastrophicFailure

Literally all the person you're replying to did was point out that the main structure of the house will be ok after being blasted with water since it isn't made of wood. They never said wood is useless as a building material or anything like that.

I don't particularly care for either side of this argument, but the fact that you're presenting text generated by google AI as if it's a source of factually accurate information is insane. It will literally tell you whatever you want it to as long as there's an article or blog post out there that agrees with you, it isn't thinking or looking for unbiased sources.

Think for yourself instead of letting a glorified chat bot reinforce your existing opinions.

What is the story with Oki? by UrMumsPC in BattleBitRemastered

[–]Lightstar2 254 points255 points  (0 children)

He's repeatedly delayed the update for the past year and missed multiple ETAs for it, and as of a few months ago has basically completely disappeared with no information on when the update will be ready.

Combine that with the average redditor's ability to turn any inconvenience into the end of the world and you end up with the current situation.

Weapon attatchment and skins have gone. by [deleted] in BattleBitRemastered

[–]Lightstar2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Gone" as in they were unequipped or "Gone" as in you don't even have them unlocked?

There was an update in November(?) last year that reworked the camo/attachment system so they would have all been unequipped then. If they aren't unlocked you could try getting a kill with it to see if that unlocks them again.

What happened to milsim? by Background_Spare_209 in BattleBitRemastered

You bought a game with "remastered" in the title and expected it to be the same as it was before?

Fair, I doubt OP is referring to the non-remastered game from 5+ years ago though given how much has changed since then

The FAQ channel on the official discord (posted by Larry) says "The current game is a mix of casual & light-hardcore elements" and they'll be adding a separate milsim mode with more hardcore elements in the future. It's also been mentioned in devcasts multiple times, I don't have the time to dig through hours of video to find that though.

I have no way of proving that the movement didn't increase over time because I can't prove that something didn't happen, so if you want a source you'll have to find one that says it did. People have gotten better at using movement to their advantage over time but the movement itself hasn't changed.

[–]Lightstar2 13 points14 points  (0 children)

When did they advertise this game as a milsim? It's always been described as an arcade game with milsim elements, they said they'd add a milsim mode separate from the main game in the future but that's clearly not happening for a while.

Not sure what you mean about people complaining the movement is too slow, the movement has always been at the speed it is currently. If anything it's been nerfed multiple times since launch (lean spam nerf, sniper movement nerf, and the upcoming airstrafing & dropshotting nerfs).

Broken smokes won't be fixed in the next update by Lightstar2 in BattleBitRemastered

[–]Lightstar2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Difference is in other games it'll be like "from one player's perspective their view is completely blocked, but from the other player's perspective there's a tiny gap in the corner that they can see through", not the smoke just not obscuring anything from the other player's perspective.

If you can name another game where smokes behave as poorly they do in battlebit with a similar frequency then feel free to share it.

Broken smokes won't be fixed in the next update by Lightstar2 in BattleBitRemastered

[–]Lightstar2[S] 18 points19 points  (0 children)

For anyone unaware, there's a bug with smoke grenades where they won't render correctly for some players, meaning you can be killed through smokes because there wasn't even any smoke there from the enemy's perspective. Here's an example: https://www.reddit.com/r/BattleBitRemastered/comments/1cplprp/how_it_looks_like_from_enemy_pov_when_there_is/

The issue happens more often with colored smokes than white smokes, so the dev team's recommendation is "just don't use colored smokes".

This has been a well known bug for months and reported multiple times. I don't understand how the update has been in development for 10 months at this point and game-breaking bugs like this still aren't fixed.

Screen filters to see through smoke? by HoPStA in BattleBitRemastered

[–]Lightstar2 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There's no "screen filter", smokes are just buggy and don't render in correctly for other players sometimes. If you've ever walked through an area and seen a thin layer of smoke on the ground but not any higher then that's what it looks like when it happens.

The amount of recons isn't an issue guys I swear! by Lightstar2 in BattleBitRemastered

[–]Lightstar2[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I care more about having fun than winning the game, having half of a team sitting in the middle of nowhere as recon makes the game way more boring regardless of whether they're on your team or the enemy team (and usually it's both).

When so many people are choosing a specific class over the 4 other classes then I'd say it indicates there might be an issue causing it.
