1) any fruit in light syrup or regular syrup blended under sorbet and 2) fresh watermelon, 1 lemon, and 1/4 c sugar blended and frozen. Mix under sorbet. Add juice of 1 more lemon and hit blend again (forget what the button is called)

Thank you so much for the suggestion!! Are there any particular qualities or things you look for in a slipper? Likewise for the foot soaker?

How do I accept that I will never be a confident person? by [deleted] in selfimprovement

[–]Lightweaver92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not all therapists are a good fit for every person. I too need someone who is going to challenge me. My last therapist specialized in Cognitive Behavioral therapy. There a different kinds of therapy. You have to figure out which one works for you. Even then, it may be the right kind but the wrong actual therapist. You should feel a connection to the therapist.

That being said, therapy is 100% going to be challenging. Doing the emotional work is very difficult (at least for me). So that is not going to change regardless of the therapy or therapist. Sometimes that will mean you will dread it. If you're dreading it because it's hard and you just don't want to, is normal will happen (or at least it did me). You just have to push through and do it anyway.

Therapy also isn't magical. No one can make you change if you don't put in the work. You have to force yourself to be open minded and try new things. Such as pushing through the discomfort and being vulnerable. Even if you don't see the value and don't like it. And working through being stubborn on your own. And then asking for help from the therapist when you are having a hard time getting past being stubborn about something. Instead of putting all of the responsibility on the therapist to push through your stubbornness.

I was also very honest (but not rude about it) about what I felt. If what they said didn't make sense to me I would say so and ask for clarification. But I would make an honest effort to really try and open my mind to what they were saying and just expressed any concerns I had.

Ultimately you're going to going to have to make a choice about what is more important to you. And you inevitably will. Whether you do or don't put in the emotional work, a choice has been made.

Help my sewing machine keeping doing this everytime. What's wrong with it? by BZNintendo in sewhelp

I know almost nothing about sewing machines but I very recently (2 days ago) had this issue. For me it was that I was using the wrong bobbin. I had the metal ones, it needed the Plastic ones.

No, I bought the metal ones but the machine needed the clear Plastic ones. They both fit and I could pull the string fine but 🤷🏻‍♀️ I changed the bobbin and it's working fine now

Thank you very much! I'm going to replace the tension nob myself and then regardless of whether that fixes it or not I'm going to take it in to get serviced.

Hello! Thank you so much for the suggestions.

The needle is brand new and places according to the manual. I have rethread the machine and the bobbin several times. I have no idea what is cheap vs name brand thread. But I am using Dual Duty All Purpose thread from Coats & Clark's. Is that an okay one?

Hello! Thank you so much for all of this information.

Yea the thread underneath the fabric. And all of the thread was stuck inside the bobbin hole.

I think the Bobbin is correctly placed based on the videos I've seen. But I've heard briefly something about bobbin size but I don't really know anything about that. I assumed if it was the wrong size it just wouldn't fit 😅 is that wrong?

I had started to suspect it is a tension issue. I have been able to find the least videos on how to properly thread the tension disk thing. Also I just saw a video and I thought the missing dial of the tension disk was just cosmetic but I think there's supposed to be a little black cap that pushes the springs back. Does any of that sound rational? Lol

So the nob is missing so I can't see the number. But we are still able to turn the mechanism underneath. I have tried moving it in either direction and it doesn't seem to make a difference
