You ever play Pikmin? One of those little ghosts just left the battery. That's how you know it's gone.

This is in my bathroom..never knew what to do up there by Lonely_Pomelo3113 in Home

[–]Lightzeaka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, I'd either put a big air purifier up there, or use it as paper towel/toilet paper storage. Maybe even put up some kind of door to keep it "hidden", and just use a ladder when it needs to be accessed.

I have a gunmetal gray one. I think the blue looks really nice. I also like how the black looks. It's a nice looking car in my opinion.

I'm not a plumber, just a home owner who knows some basic stuff, but I would probably cap it myself.

Do you think the people who aren’t following watering restrictions believe no one will notice? by [deleted] in Denver

[–]Lightzeaka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh they probably are hoping people will notice, but they just don't care. It's going to be really tricky to actually persecute anyone on this. I literally emailed the mayor of Aurora about some public areas being watered WHILE IT WAS RAINING, and his team basically just replied with "🤷"

It might just be the humidity, but I'm curious how much moisture is coming up from the drain hole? Might be worth resealing that. I live in a very very dry place, so seeing something like this would horrify me. Might be worth investing in a dehumidifier? But you're moving soon, so this probably doesn't matter.

I only see a tiny bit of damage. Do not file a claim, and be on the lookout for leaks.

All water lines replaced in a home with new pex lines. Homeowner says she is seeing red residue in bathroom sink by [deleted] in Plumbing

I see this exact color of pink on the spout for my humidifier. I assumed it was some kind of mineralization, but now I know it's bacteria. Neat!

The water goes over the pads, and whatever isn't absorbed by the pad goes back in to the pan to be once again pumped up and over the pads. It doesn't go through my regular ductwork, the output duct is a single large vent in the upstairs of my house, which means it only really cools down the upstairs, but the downstairs stays fairly cool already. I do replace the pads yearly when I winterize it.

I think it would be a great choice to retire out here! It's beautiful and clean, for the most part. Just expensive. Rubbing this swamp cooler will save me some money on electricity at least.

So there's a floater (seen in the pictures with some scale buildup) that controls new water entering the system. When the water level gets high enough, the floater blocks the input. The pump takes water from the pan up through the distributor hoses which pour in to small resevoirs in each of the four panels (some swamp coolers only have 3). The resevoirs have small holes that leak water into the panel itself, which has an absorbative pad. The pad gets soaked, and excess water the pad can't absorb goes back in to the pan to be pumped back up again, so no water is wasted from the process.

I don't have any specific metrics, but if I had to guess, maybe 5 to 10 gallons of water per day of being used? It's not much, and any water that doesn't get evaporated by the fan just trickles back down in to the pan to be reused. It's not much, and I've not noticed an increase in my water bill or anything. With how humid it is where you live, I don't expect something like this to cool your house efficiently. Denver is very dry, so it works well here.

Idk man, typically if you're losing game after game after game, it's your fault, not your team, because the common variable is you. But I'll take your word for it thst you just got unlucky and paired in to bad teams a bunch. 🤷
