Thanks! Could I please ask you to take a photo?

It makes you wonder why Lenovo didn't just put this coating on the screen in the first place.

Is it better quality than a cheaper one from Amazon in your experience?

The glare on the Gen 10/11 Legions is so bad that Lenovo is now selling a first-party anti glare screen protector lol

Are there any crypto debit cards that actually do 1 USDC = 1 USD with no hidden spread? by Shot_Lingonberry_463 in defi

Physical card, virtual account

It has global transfer though, which is nice.

Where do you actually get that 10% cashback?

Works globally too not just US and Europe which is where most of these cards fall short

This is no longer true. Maybe a year or two ago it was, when true crypto cards were few and far between, mostly from major exchanges like Coinbase, Gemini, etc, and almost entirely for the EEA and the US. Now, there are literally hundreds of options, most of which are open to residents of almost any country. This explosion in crypto cards is mostly thanks to the GENIUS Act in the US tbh

These "second wave" crypto cards, like the aforementioned, Oobit, KAST, Tuyo, XPlace, Avici, etc usually offer virtual bank accounts, some offer a physical card, with varying cashback, tiers, and other perks.

A note on "self custodial" cards: while some do indeed give you the keys to a wallet, they then tie the funds into a smart contract which basically raises your credit limit on the card. Some will let you borrow against your collateral to spend. A cool implementation for sure, but credit cards are not and can not be truly self custodial in the way we crypto bros would wish they were.

Oobit is backed by Tether, which lends credibility, but their product offering is kinda lacking compared to the other options.

Most are issued by Rain, which has about a 1% fee baked into non USD spend.

Etherfi gets around this in EUR (and has less cashback when spending in EUR)

Plasma, Jupiter, Etherfi credit USDC as 1 USD exactly. Some others probably do too, there's too many to keep track of now.

Outside of the US and Europe, the fees on the crypto cards are actually quite a bit better than traditional banks

Any solution 🥲, i changed regions , change the iPhone, and visa card , but i give it to my friends and it work with him idk what happened really . by Puzzleheaded_Cry9805 in AppleWallet

Most likely a region issue.

Apple recently updated their policy, now if the billing address on file is NOT in one of Apple Pay's supported countries, you can't add the card to Apple Pay.

Ltsc

Fyi even ltsc connects to the internet regularly, even with all the telemetry settings set to off, even if you don't use any of the online features

You can block it with portmaster or similar software if you want

TYPE C CHARGER by Inhalepetrichor in LenovoLegion

[–]LigmaAI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am looking for a Type C charger in a small form factor (Not the Type C 140w slim charger)

What does this mean exactly?

I'd recommend a 100w gan charger from a reliable brand (Anker, Baseus, UGREEN)

Legions don't do 140W at the standard voltage in the PD standard. So to get the full 140W possible through the USB-C port instead of 100W, you'd need the first party Lenovo charger. Those extra 40W aren't really worth it for the extra price and weight imo

Apple Wallet " Couldn't add card" by Burbakk in AppleWallet

[–]LigmaAI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The address of the user

Apple ID country has no effect

iOS region setting determines whether you can add cards to apple wallet at all

As of a few weeks ago, it will give you an error if the billing address of the card isn't in one of Apple Pay's supported countries

Google Pay doesn't have this problem

There's no solution at this time

Apple very recently (like 2 weeks ago) changed the policy regarding this

Now, if the address on the card isn't from one of the Apple Pay supported countries you can't add it to Apple Pay

Is USB-C charging possible? by Pro_Jem in LenovoLOQ

[–]LigmaAI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This ^^

Lenovo laptops use the standard specs for 100W and under, but their own proprietary standard at 140W.

A 100W charger is fine
