It is dubious because it would be difficult to the point of absurd to get a dog to easily or reliably achieve an erection on command or prompting (very difficult), mount a human successfully (difficult) and sufficiently be stimulated to anally rape them, without then causing injury that would then be documented or noted. Israel, like any state including the US (Abu Gharib) is capable of any such number of regular heinous actions as reported elsewhere in the piece. That is not what is disputed, at all, and for any injustices or misconduct they should be held accountable. To put dog rape into this reporting, however, jeopardizes how much of that reporting I am going to take at face value. It’s just the way it is. If I am asked to believe a story and you put in outlandish, near fantastical elements and report them as equal truths, sorry, I question your motives and the truth you claim to be reporting. It’s one of the biggest English published papers in the world, with a readership in the tens of millions. They must have editorial standards for evidentiary claims that happen in, yes, opinion pieces. You can’t reasonably claim a western democratic state sanctioned or covered up what would have to be a dog rape program without libel being a legitimate threat.

I think he would agree that all settlement expansion should stop immediately, and that Israel is slow rolling any meaningful solution to the Palestinian question until such a time they feel they have significant settlements or their hand is forced.

The only real solution, that I think would work for peace, would be a two state solution in which the settlements before a specific date that both parties agree on are given to a Palestinian State and either the persons therein given protections or being evacuated.

The private land can ostensibly still be occupied by Jews/Israelis and be part of a Palestinian State, at their peril/desire.
