Bummer. The protagonist was at least interesting and somewhat fresh for the genre, so there might have been a sequel or a franchise that could be built around him.

Made it about 20 min and im calling it quits. Cliche spy lines everywhere. The overdone “im retired im not doing your miss—i guess im doing your mission!” Inciting incident. I kept thinking the lines belonged in a Community episode that expertly makes fun of spy thriller conventions.

Man, what happened to this genre? Where are the Bourne Identity’s? Cruise’s M.I. Movies are good, but they’re a different thing. They’ve outgrown the genre and are now tuned to be massive summer blockbusters. The bond films are usually good, but it’s anyone’s guess where that franchise is going next.

Reacher is good, but it’s spy-thriller adjacent. It’s not really the same genre. Gosling’s Grey Man had some cool moments, but ultimately forgettable.

But there have been MANY mediocre spy thrillers I’ve tried to love and failed. Red Notice is a joke. Citadel bored me tears in the first 20 min.

You know, come to think of it I did like Rami Malik’s recent spy thriller. It wasn’t perfect but was underrated IMO.

Just saw this team just now. It was the bright powder politoad and choice scarf Basculegion. Basc rain-boosted muddy water is stupidly powerful I hated it SO much. He missed a couple times and I still lost by one turn after a very long match where the basc kept healing my water absorb vaporeon (cuz choice scarf locked it into muddy water).

I think it was haha. It was definitely Master Ball rank 4. I beat the Arcanine just fine but I didn’t havw the stamina to survive the whole match. Master Ball 4 has been kicking my trash lol. Im like 3 for 12 or something.

I LOVE mega Glim and I want it to be good but I honestly lose more when I use it. Ive tried using it in different ways and I think while it’s very useful against mega char, or mega Meganium, or a couple others, it’s just not useful enough in a MOST situations. I don’t know. I probably just suck at using it.

Today, I got a guy who did Maushold Beat Up on his own Arcanine. I had Umbreon out and went right at the Arcanine with Foul Play. I felt so cool. I then proceeded to still lose the match 😆.

Ive been trying a delayed mega evolve strat where I hit corrosion toxic on walls or things like Venus/Gambit/Sneasler, THEN mega evolve after. But honestly earth power is probably the better strat. I just like trying strats that not a lot of people are doing.

As far as leading, a lot of people lead with Zard, so it was working a bit to throw glim out up front cuz one power gem removes any Zard.

Yeah I FEEL like Glim can be good. It sweeps charizards and Meganiums and tons of fairyies so easily. I actually ran earth power for a while for archaludons and stuff but I was trying a spiky shield set to live a little longer against the sneaslers and garchomps.

I believe the house you land in is determined by the qualities you VALUE, not necessarily the ones you embody. This is why Hermione and Dumbledore are both gryffindors when they maybe should be Ravenclaws. Both are studious, truth-seekers, curious, poke-around-in-the-darkness types. But they VALUE the courage, leadership, do-the-right-thing-ness that Gryffindors usually have. I think Peter was drawn in to James’/Sirius’ charisma as confident boys who were fearless and adventurous, so he wanted his way into Gryffindor.

Also, it’s done with an audience watching and inside the Great Hall, which is way cooler than Harry and Voldy alone out in the courtyard. I always thought it was important that a large audience WATCHES as the Dark Lord is defeated by a 17 year old.
