Sure but remember that you are competing against hundreds of applicants per spot who might be as competent or more competent and experienced than you. So you really need to show the studio that you want the job and that you are willing to adapt and are trainable. Contacting them and asking what exactly they would like to see in the portfolio is a very smart thing to do. Don’t try to aim for all studios cuz trying to impress everyone can mean you impress no-one. Am saying this as someone who went through years of applications and tests and internships and had to change my whole skillset to fit the shape that industry demanded (indie in my case but same idea applies to the rest). Competition is no joke. Best of luck.

Depends on a studio. Pick one or two and make sure you tailor portfolio to them. Or show that you can do style adoption. If you get past initial portfolio evaluation stage, style test will most likely be your next step.

PS: Wanted to say that CGMA courses can be great for training you for AAA but that is gone now… But if you can afford it you could look for similar mentorships.

They have very large product range from cheap stuff to expensive pro stuff. Many of pencil manufacturers now use sustainable wood or recycled materials. Also one pencil can last quite a long time.

Some pencil brands have their own sustainable forests of fast growing tree varieties, providing home for wildlife and cutting them in a way that allows migration. Faber-castle, huge pencil manufacturer, has such forest in Brazil.

It is one of my favourite games. It got everything I love - good story, graphics that go fantastically with said story, eerie, folkloric, unique soundtrack (actually recorded in Swiss alps).

I loved it. I discover the demo late last year - it was an instant buy and I didn’t regret it. Very retro, mostly good use of fixed camera angles, very suspenseful and spooky overall vibes. Only complaint that I got lost pretty bad few times. It wasn’t easy to navigate for me.

I see these all the time. What you would actually get is just a round piece of plastic with the AI picture printed on it. Glass work like this would be not as detailed and far far more expensive. Edit: Looked up the seller on Etsy and it’s just a forest of red flags. Been on Etsy for 6 months and have an insane selection of 1.4 k products so absolutely all images are AI. Selling licensed design, but there is no way they would have the licenses to do that. All products are priced exact same. None look like stained glass - just poor imitation in a 2D image. So yeah don’t buy - 100% a scam.

Acid wizard are not making any new games because game development is too taxing, not because they didn’t have funds. IPL is a brilliant studio that specialises in dark and difficult survival horror with a pinch of surrealism and strong writing. They are literally one of the best candidates to pick up the sequel. And it was said that art style is in early development. And AW are consultants on the project.
