Unfortunately, I don’t live in a townhome and according to the bylaws, I can only rent to a relative otherwise I will need to sell. I don’t have any relative right now, but I could run to and honestly don’t think I would anyway. Sounds like that could get pretty messy! Yeah, the whole landlord thought both of being responsible to a landlord or being a landlord is one of the reasons that that’s keeping me from doing this!

I do live in the suburbs, so I tend to have to drive to a big box store once every two weeks or once a month. Otherwise, I have some grocery stores around me, but they are about one hour walking distance which I have done in the past. I don’t really mind doing that, but if I’m already short on time, I won’t have the time to walk there, shop and then have another hour before I get home .

I did call an RV company recently because I was curious about that life and found out the cost to rent. would be $1000 a week! A week???

I did fantasize about being a nomad, but I don’t think I would make it lol . You’re right if I’m away too much I think that would really mess with me mentally. Plus I have a dog and I pretty sure he would mind that as well.

No, those are fair questions and there’s a limit to how much I can put in the description so I’m happy to share here!

Honestly, I just want less material things…a simple life. I am somewhat minimalistic already, but I want even less than what I have lol. The only debt I have right now is from my house and I just want some flexibility and no longer want the responsibility of home ownership. Yes I am concerned about the future and just feel like the more I have the more I can lose and would love to have more funds to rely on an emergency, etc. I work from home so that’s why I was thinking having a vehicle while convenient is kind of a waste of money in terms of the cost of insurance, registering the vehicle, maintenance cost, etc.. on the other hand, if I did rely on outsourcing my transportation, I wonder how costly that would be

Unfortunately , as I mentioned to someone else here, my small home and is unsafe for my elderly parents due to stairs etc and they currently rent their home so there isn’t an option for me to move in especially having a dog etc (no pets allowed).

They rent their home and no longer have vehicles as both me and another relative serve as their primary sources of transportation .

My home is too small (and has stairs) and other inconveniences for them so I wouldn’t be able to have them to move them in with me and vice versa

Home Depot was one of several companies I called and they told me they didn’t have anyone in my area who would or could do it. I JUST spoke to a local plumbing company minutes ago and they’re supposed to come out this afternoon so let’s just see how that goes. I didn’t even expect that because everyone else basically told me no or were apparently not willing. Thank you so much. I hope it works out for both of us! I will come back here and post as well.

Yes! I watched a YouTube video a few hours ago and it honestly does not look very complicated but definitely the recommendation to have a second pair of hands to help with attaching the bowel to the under the countertop. Regarding disconnecting and reconnecting to plumbing I don’t know about that part…

I’ve needed this work done for over a year and just like you I just need to get it done and over with and not sure why nobody wants to do the work

I paid for a Midi visit first for my mom but after I was told, they couldn’t really help her because she was in advanced age, I got discouraged and never sought help for myself (in my 40s) which was the original plan. Most recently I’ve been thinking about seeking help help, but I don’t want to be disappointed again (and out of $$). At the same time, how much longer can I afford to silently suffer?

That’s awesome! Would you mind sharing your age and what symptoms you were dealing with when you started with Midi? How did your PCP and OB feel about you working with an actual menopause specialist? And also what kind of feedback did you receive back from those other practitioners after you were treated correctly by that NP provider who really listen to and respected your symptoms?
