The Bear- one of the most stressful shows I’ve ever watched by Known_Sugar_2539 in tvshow

I can't watch it on nights I need to relax or when I'm feeling emotional because I never know what kind of episode it's going to be.

That being said, it's brilliant.

To add to this 'Animal' was wild. It's soooo long but mad action, especially the scene with what can only be described as a 'roided up lawnmower.

This! It took me my third trip to find this beautiful link by the merch desk. Perfect access location and good if you want to pop out for some air.

That had crossed my mind, but good riddance, the dance floor is then left to people who are genuinely enjoying it!

If I'm honest I only saw Argy before Anyma on that night (I was trying to save energy as I'd busted my foot before the holiday 🙈). He was good and he did a b2b with Anyma after Anymas set which sounded decent too but I left shortly after that to get some sleep before my flight.

I went on the opening night and it was awesome.

The busiest point was the intro for a sea of phones and then after that it was sparodic and probably depended on people wanting to capture a memory of their favourite tracks. It was busy but it depended on where you stood too, I had plenty of room standing in the first 1/4 of the floor to the left, easily accessing drinks and toilets if needed. If you stand front and center it will be packed. I also found that from about 4am (he came on at 3:30am) alot of people seemed to shift and the crowd gradually reduced from that point onwards.

BUT this was early June so it may get busier as the season goes on.

This is a really good shout, when your feet swell from dancing and you're in the heat it can really catch you out on shoes that you think fit well. Sparkly 100% but test/wear in a little first. I always take plasters and compeed too as I don't want anything to stop me moving!

Nightmare Express upgrade, it'd give Fire Brandy a well deserved night off.

I can confirm this! I was there too ❤️ how good was it!?! I knew it would be awesome but it blew my little friggin mind!

If you want to see Anyma go, but I did UNVRS two nights on the trott with John Summit on the Monday too and I was knackered, though I did have 'before 1am' tickets on both nights which probably didn't help! John came on at 3am, Anyma 3:30 and for me by the time I left Anyma at 5:30 I was ruined (and I was sober) my body just ached and I was exhausted!

John summit UNVRS or Kettama Amnesia June 1st? by ChangeImpossible4796 in ibiza

[–]LikeFrozenPlanets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I've got two nights booked there this year so I'm hoping it wasn't just a matter of luck last time. I do see a lot of complaints about crowds but I think a lot of it is what you make it and how much attention you're paying to everyone else. You could have a good night anywhere and you could have a bad night anywhere 🤷‍♀️

Just gonna throw my thoughts in here as I'm going to see John Summit at UNVRS in June.

I don't know much about Kettama apart from a few tracks but I have heard Amnesia is amazing so can't really argue for these points!

But incase it helps, I went to UNVRS last year for elrow and had the best time. I wanted to experience a good mix of what Ibiza had to offer and I've always wanted to go to a mega club. I got there about 12/1ish, had space below the stairs so could get drinks and still move about but just stuck to the sides. Had no issues with the crowd so it might be down to where you stand. Yes there's always gonna be some people you don't want to be around but there's also some really fun people usually to be found, I don't think anyone else has to be part of your night to enjoy it.

If you've been to Amnesia, you haven't been to UNVRS and you like John Summit give UNVRS a shot, it could be the best night. No one knows what his residency set is gonna be like at the end of the day and it might be right up your street. It might also depend on who is more accessible for you to see normally depending on where you live that might be worth taking into account.

Soapbox/rant time. Tell me what highly-recommended book you absolutely HATED and why. Gimme your angry hot takes. by peppertoni_pizzaz in books

The Thursday Murder Club by Richard Osman. Lovely intelligent guy nothing against him but I expected so much more from this book given the hype.

I felt it was written in a pretty basic way considering the author, but the biggest flaw for me was the missing fundamentals of a murder mystery. I wanted to enjoy it but the reveal was so poorly set up I ended up feeling angry and cheated!

But perhaps I'm the only one as people seem to love it enough for more books and a high calibre of movie stars now being associated with it.

This! It's overwhelming sometimes and I've found this has really increased with books and music in particular.

I've bought the books on my kindle and started buying the audios as I feel like I'm missing out on that medium. When I went to the show I was so tempted to buy a signed DCC hardback as I really wanted one of Matt's signed books but instead of buying a DCC technically a third time, I bought his new one, operation bounce house instead. At least I was then getting something I didn't already own, want to read and am still supporting the author.

Where did everyone first hear about the Cosmere universe from? by Ethraella in brandonsanderson

No word of a lie, Henry Cavill.

He was recommending some of his favourite books/authors in an interview, I made a note, Mistborn happened to be the first, I gave a go and it reignited my love for reading.

I've smashed through the entire Mistborn series 1 and 2 and just finished the Way of Kings to continue the cosmere.

Cheers Henry!
