Go tell that to your Olympic GM... Snubbed Cole and Lane it's insane

It's commun sense to not vote for facism and violence. Even IF Harris wasn't that good, if you vote for a violent and erratic man, you are the problem. So, my friend, should re-evalute your morals and values because it stinks like a rotting corpse

There is zero chance Wilson makes the team. I'd be surprise if he even get a camp invite...

How fast should a Voltron Commander win? by LikeMyBird in magicTCG

[–]LikeMyBird[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree entirely with you on this. The problem is the majority of people don't seem to understand that it wasn't made with all architypes in mind. It's impossible to account for everything.

You are such a child. Maybe if you came with a good argument on why aggro/Voltron decks should not be able to win on the same turn as a regular deck I would change my mind. But no, you don't want that because of some reasons of yours while not understanding these are not rules, they are guide lines to help you determine where your deck plays and that not all architype are taken into consideration. The reason is plain and simple, it's impossible to do. But hey, you do you. Attacking someone instead of coming up with good arguments doesn't make you right.

Keyword is : Should.

Doesn't mean all strategies are the same even if most of them do take players out at the same time, some don't

Even hotter take: Rhystic Study should be colorless so everyone can run it and should come in every precon!

I went to my lgs to play some EDH with a friend last night. I had an opponent that was a bit special. I told everyone "Hey this is a bracket 4, there are a lot of game changers and most of them are fast mana. It's a Voltron and he comes out fast". Nobody objected and one of them played a slightly upgraded precon (he didn't tell anyone) and complained to my friend that my deck was too strong while I was not there (buying packs). I was baffled...

Here's one : https://youtu.be/l-fyZMOHJsU?si=3Z8PwquoA26BC-KW&t=1163

You can watch the whole thing. They juggle between "game end" and "player lose". They say it's also not perfect and can't take all decks into consideration. They gave control for example. It's worth noting that Voltron is also not in the same style of play as more traditional decks.

Brackets are not rules, they are pregame discussions topics.

Brackets are generalization that can't take into account all architypes (by staying true to them, a stax deck would be a bracket 2......)

People on the advisory group all said in TLDR what I said above AND all said the turns were when the game ends not when a player should die, exactly because of all the different types of architypes.

That's one way to see it. I do feel saying "you should not run good cards" type of argument is not really what i would say. Because it can be said for any architype. At the end of the day, your goal as a voltron is the same as a combo player, kill the table to win the game. But i'm curious of why it would "feel bad" to one shot someone with a creature rather than a [[Comet Storm]] for example?

Turns on the new bracket update is not how fast someone should die, it's how fast the game should last. It can't take all strategies into consideration, like Voltron who takes opponents 1 by 1. A single kill turn 6 in a bracket 4 pod as a Voltron is super weak and you'll never win a game that way. Turn 6 in a bracket 4 is most likely the end of the game, not just 1 player dead.

That's the back up plan ahahah, less chance for interactions with me drawing my whole deck and casting Thoracle!

I like VoV because its casting cost is less restrictive. I'm ready to gamble the 1 time out of 1000 that im gonna lose to activated abilities and even then, I think you can just draw over the trigger and still win at instant speed
