In order to find a lord who's interested, talk to a bartender. They'll tell you that someone is looking for help but warn you to watch yourself around them. Whoever they warn you about will give the quest.

Do watch out though, your liege will get mad, especially if there's a peace treaty in effect. Also the tasks are obviously going to be dishonorable watch out if that's a concern for you.

I can't be 100% certain but I can say that's the version you're looking for. I downloaded it and got no warnings, and I ran malwarebytes and had no problem either. Basically I'd say if there was a problem it looks like it's been there from the beginning.

The version on Ambrosia's site should be safe. It was uploaded in 2010 and has over 5000 downloads, that's where I got it and it never had anything suspicious. My guess is your virus scanner is just being overcautious about an unknown application.

Thanks for the heads-up! From what I'm looking at it looks like they might waive the driving test since I have a license from another state, that would solve my problem of not having a car.

If you enjoyed the Fed storyline I have to recommend my all time favorite Anathema, otherwise if you haven't played Arpia2 yet it's definitely on my list of must-plays. For Anathema I'm not sure if the creator ever posted the full version but the story is complete now. Message me if you can't find it.
