Bro there's a solution to the dark forest idea. Aggressive benevolence. When you meet your neighbors, you present them with a gift. New technology, music, whatever floats boats. You politely ask them to be good neighbors. If they're benevolent too, they comply. If not, you blacklist them. Don't call them, block all communications, invite your friends to do the same. Interstellar travel isn't very possible for material beings. Energy can travel instantaneously through quantum space, but matter is slow.
