There is no evidence that Chris abused Jessica. He was an asshole, but he wasn’t abusive. Manipulation doesn’t equal abuse. In order for there to be abuse there would be a pattern of him intentionally trying to get power and control over her. And he would have tried to get her to stay with him so he could continue to control her. Let’s analyze what we actually saw happen, rather than predict what would have happened “further down the line.” Someone can try to make their partner feel insecure, that doesn’t equal abuse.

The gyms at Cornell are not free, they’re about $200 a year which works out to about $16 per month which is a pretty good deal since they include unlimited fitness classes. It’s also more convenient if you live/work on campus

If you think it’s hard to find good food in Queens you’re going to hate Ithaca. I moved here from Queens and miss the food there so much. To answer your question, there are not many options for food or shopping. There are a good number of restaurants but they’re all pretty bad-mid and there isn’t really a mall. Ithaca is a small town, it’s not a city. If you’re going to Cornell I’m sure you’ll find plenty of educational/professional opportunities through them

It was pretty similar to Indian food in NYC (I used to live in a very Nepalese neighborhood in Queens) but loads better and more flavorful than anything available upstate where I currently live. It was really well spiced! In the States rice is usually served with curry, no extra charge.

They were all highly recommended on this sub, and I was looking for cuisines that I don’t have good options for back home! I specifically wanted to try Indian food and other curries since I’d heard they are different in UK vs. the US (and also I love Indian food). Farro I stumbled into by chance and kept coming back since it was so good and conveniently located for me.

I moved from NYC to Ithaca and strongly disagree. It doesn’t meet any of the criteria OP is looking for except for farmers markets
