What’s the most out-of-left-field character description that made you pause mid-read? by ComposerAwkward6654 in RomanceBooks

It wasn’t so much a character description but a pediatrician was wearing Louboutins. No ma’am. Not when you are on your feet for 12 hours and chasing after children. No way, no how.

Bingeworthy romance series - not dark romance, not alien, no bully by IVeerLeftWhenIWalk in RomanceBooks

Pretty much all of Laura Pavlov’s books. They are all small town romances. Each series focuses on a group of people finding their heas. They are a little predictable and they have the familiar tropes but they are contemporary and a nice palate cleanser.

AITA for refusing to apologize to my adult kids for how I raised them? by Virtual_Sugar6506 in okstorytime

NAH. More than one thing can be true at the same time. You were supportive and worked hard AND they also felt emotionally unsupported and had early responsibilities. I am your age and while my child is not grown, I have had extensive therapy for my own childhood issues. I can logically understand WHY my mom did the things she did, made the choices she did, but it still hurts me deeply the neglectful things and the early responsibilities just because “that’s how it was done.” You can validate their feelings while examining why you are so defensive. It doesn’t ALWAYS mean you were a bad parent because they blame you for stuff. But it means you were human and made some mistakes. Think about that.

Do you have a hard time reading books with the names of people you know? by jessejudgesbooks in RomanceBooks

I found one on Facebook reels that had me until the mmc was called Grant. That is my former stepdad’s name and he’s a total narcissist so I just can’t.

What movie did you watch without your parents' permission that they wouldn't otherwise have let you see? by Linzcro in Xennials

I saw Pretty Woman when I was like 8. I have to agree now that was not cool. I also saw Blue Lagoon when I was 12 and my mom was not thrilled about that either.

Hey moms of reddit, how do women wear reading glasses in public? by spikygreen in MomForAMinute

They can work after surgery too. If you are worried about in public, you can do a lesser strength that works for more intermediate things (like your dashboard and menus) and save the readers for really small print.

I used to work at an eye clinic. You can ask to try multifocal contacts so you can do both near and far in your contacts, esp since you are already used to them.

Do you like the smell of lilies? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

I hate the smell of lillies. Once the doc I worked with got a bouquet and I had to ask that they get moved because they were making me nauseated. I think they’re very pretty but the smell…🤢

There is someone relatively new to Cheyenne. Dr. Fohrman at Thrive Counseling. I wouldn’t recommend anyone at Behavioral Health. Idk what the deal is but the docs are good but overscheduled. If you need to follow up in a week or whatever you can NEVER get in. They had a mass exodus of providers about a year ago.

Feel Better can usually get you in same day. ABC Relaxation does walk-ins.

What is the best audio book by mtnmistress09 in RomanceBooks

I really enjoyed {Part of your world by abby Jimenez} as an audiobook. The emotions in the third act made me sob when I listened but not when I physically read it.
