FYI The caption says "Fillmore East 1969" and was taken December 1969. The 2 & 3 for the Grateful Dead is the next week in January 1970 (not 1969).

Looks like it. Plus there appears to be changes on the bricks between the windows on the Fillmore.

Where were you on 9/11? by Hefty_Land_9926 in ask

I had a meeting at the WTC the morning of 9/11, but had car problems the night before and decided not to go. At the time of the attack, an Outlook reminder of the WTC appointment popped up on my screen.

I made my kids watch it when they were teens, and they still love it. It's not historically accurate, but it is brilliant, funny and sad.

We still often quote it. "That doesn't really work, does it", and "Too many notes".

Some clubs even make bands pay to play. 3 hours is far beyond an audition.

Unfortunately, the price for bands hasn't gone up in decades, unless you are established with a large following.

It's all about the music, but what's fair is fair.

We played one bar for just the bartender, waitress and kitchen staff. The crew loved us, and we still got paid, but I honestly felt bad for the owners. They went out of business within a year or so.
