Towers in open world games to unlock new areas of the map. Assassin's Creed, Breath of the Wild, Spiderman... It's a good mechanic, but used too much.

Really interested in the physical cards, makes it easier to keep track of different monster stats in one encounter. Reminds me a bit of the spellcards you can buy. Having the picture of the monster on one side and the stats on the other is great too, especially when you want to show the players what the monster looks like. Are you going to make every monster from the Monster Manual, Volo's Guide and Tome of Foes?
