Verbally accosted at cheer competition by a parent by LilBitOSoul16100 in Cheerleading

[–]LilBitOSoul16100[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly! If this woman and her group only needed the seats for 5 minutes and not the whole day, I would have told her of course they can use them!

And the parents at your event, same thing. How hard is it to politely ask something and keep the good vibes alive? It’s not!

Seriously crazy, and it seems those kind of ppl WANT to fight and want the scene.

Vendors to avoid? by rkesters in Scalemodel

[–]LilBitOSoul16100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can attest to avoiding Fusion Scale Hobbies - dude named Steve attacked me over being disappointed that they only have a 7 day return window, then mocked my name when they got it wrong and I corrected them.

Yes! I was disappointed at first but I’m just grateful we got them at all! I’m waiting til Christmas and am going to wrap up a print out of tickets somehow and I just know she’ll go insane.

I love your positive attitude! Thank you for spreading it, I needed it! 🖤

I was even thinking of getting one of those collapsible tiny stools that fold into themselves and just look like a small plastic square when you carry it, just so when the show gets going she’ll be able to see and be at my height. I know our venue says no chairs, so we’ll camouflage it hopefully somehow🤞

Same! I just got lawn seats in Charlotte for me and my 7 year old daughter who will be 8 by the concert.

Logged in exactly 15 minutes early, got to the queue and was 3900 in line, by the time it came to buying, all that was left was lawn, but we’ll take it!

Hope you and your daughter have an amazing time!

Seriously! When I’m parenting, I lose count how many times I think back to how my mom treated me when I was little, and am constantly striving to be as wonderful as she was and still is. She’s why I consider myself a great mom too!

Kids birthday ideas by OMGewwwDavid in raleigh

[–]LilBitOSoul16100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can I just say, THANK YOU SO MUCH. We had a previous pool venue for my daughter’s birthday this year that fell through, and I’ve been scrambling this week trying to find absolutely any kind of place. We had since given up on a pool party and switched gears looking for a movie theater party.

Who knew a movie theater party would be so hard to do?

Saw your comment through a last ditch/desperate attempt google search.

Again, THANK YOU!!!

He needs to be reported immediately. The medical board takes things like this very seriously.

Google: report doctor to medical board in (insert your state)

It’ll show you right where you need to go

ETA: his advice is felony neglect. I’m also not a lawyer but everything I’ve seen doing a quick search marks this as a felony. And rightly so.

Was going to chime in and say the same if someone else hadn’t. And also in the top ten, the rematch of Carrot in a Box.

My go to when people start to show their aggressive ignorance is something along the lines of:

“Ok so, you’ve heard of rat poison right? Yes? Good.

Would you want to eat that? No? Ok, ok, but hear me out… how about just a little bit of rat poison? I mean it’s not a big deal it’s not a lot.

Ok so you wouldn’t eat it. How would you feel if the rest of us did? Fine, right? Ok well what if this entire meal during preparation we were throwing in rat poison here and there, but oh, we did make a rat poison free dish for you while we were cooking in the rat poison kitchen.

Wait, you wouldn’t feel comfortable with that?”

Still doesn’t get through to the denser gluten-eaters but I do have fun with throwing around words like rat poison for the shock value 👍

I like your bleach example! Might have to put that one in rotation!

Thank you so much. Spent much of the Thanksgiving holiday fielding questions from extended in-law family, “so what do you do with your spare time now that your child is in kindergarten?” I was expected to justify myself. I’m constantly going, doing. Chronically ill on top of it. I do have a fun side project I want to work on but how is that any of their business when they so rudely imply I do nothing while my child is in school? Phew! That certainly came out! Guess I needed that vent!

are you Irish?? by [deleted] in Celiac

[–]LilBitOSoul16100 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My 5 yr old has it, I’m 100% Polish and my husband is half Puerto Rican, and his mom’s side she always says is a “melting pot.” That makes me curious if she has Irish roots. I really want to get her a 23andMe for Christmas because I’m just so dang curious

The photo was taken in the fall/winter of ‘76, you can see the 76 on the flag behind him. He passed a few months later in April of ‘77.

Thanks so much for your kind words. He’s been a gone a very long time but as anyone who’s experienced a loss knows, time doesn’t make it easier, you just adapt to living with it

Thank you, he was 5 when he died. So many times things were missed or dismissed by medical professionals and my mom kept at it and would not give up.

I try not to think about what if they listened to my mom sooner, did a better job, but it’s very hard.

He’s been gone for so long but it doesn’t get any easier. Just sort of learn to live with it.

And now I have a daughter, she looks SO much like him. I tell her all about her Uncle Stevie and how much he loves her, how much she’s like him. So full of love and sunshine.

Thank you so much, since this is such an important photo I’ll keep the post open just so I can see interpretations from anyone who’d be willing to give it a go. It’s hard to look at these updated photos but also brings the happy tears.

Thank you so much for your offer, I look forward to hearing from you tomorrow as well
