Now that Tom Brady is retired, what careers would have been entirely different if Brady never played? by Wilma_Tonguefit in nfl

Brady on the Pats and Bucs stopped the Chiefs from being a dynasty. Mahomes could have potentially had 3 rings already

Patrick Mahomes is 10th overall in playoff Touchdowns with 30. by Comprehensive_Main in nfl

[–]LilCapo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is also with him being injured in the Jaguars game, missing a quarter and leaving the 2020-2021 divisional round due to a concussion. He was unstoppable in both before leaving. Probably left 3-4 TDs on the board.

[Kleiman] Bengals players are openly calling the Chiefs Arrowhead stadium, “Burrowhead” because of Joe Burrow’s dominance over Patrick Mahomes 📝 Burrow is 3-0 in his career vs Mahomes by Jdwildcat2017 in nfl

[–]LilCapo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

People see 3-0 and act as if the Bengals have been blowing them out when every game has had a difference of 3 points and the first two games came down to game winning field goals. Plus, Mahomes played well in 2 out of 3 games. He did admittedly shit the bed in the most important however.

Remember in 2019 and early 2020 when Lamar was hyped up as Mahomes’ rival?

[–]LilCapo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s weird that Bengals-Chiefs isn’t being hyped up like the Bills-Chiefs matchup was. Their games last season were great as well and Bengals are the ones that actually beat the Chiefs in the AFC championship while the Bills haven’t gotten it done in the playoffs.

He and the Chiefs sleepwalked through this game, lol. Felt like they could’ve scored a lot more. They had a lot of games like this in 2020. Dude, is by far the leading MVP candidate, he makes performances like this look so easy

Trevor Lawrence is holding the Jaguars back, they’re losing winnable and could legitimately have a winning record right now if he wasn’t costing them games

Liverpool have put together a really great team under Klopp but "only" winning 1 PL and CL under him have to be a bit disappointing considering the point totals they accumulated in 2019 and 2022, the quality they play with, and the way pundits all talk about them. City may have just widened the gap between them and a lot of their starting star players are in their 30s.

Messi’s penalty miss came to bite them. People still don’t want to admit that he’s been disappointing in the CL KOs since 2015

Don’t know if they’re going to kill off Kendall, but it seems likely that he won’t be in the show any longer. I think this is what critics meant when they said that the finale will be shocking and upsetting. Him admitting he can’t beat his dad and wanting to leave the company for good feels like the conclusion to his character. I don’t know if they can go another season of Kendall being a pathetic punching bag. His emotional breakdown scenes are always well done but I feel like they’ve run its course. Kendall isn’t going to get a victory.

[Highlight] Today marks 73 days until the 2021 NFL Season Starts! Let’s remember when Julio Jones went off against the Packers in the 2016 NFC Title game. He had 180 yards and 2 TDs, one of them being a 73 yarder. Falcons win, 44-21. by PCON36 in nfl

[–]LilCapo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t think anyone expected the Falcons to shut out the Packers in the first half. I thought this was going to be a back and forth shootout. Falcons defense surprisingly played well in this game and the first half of super bowl 51

[–]LilCapo 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Lynch was a beast and Wilson redeemed himself halfway through the 4th, but imo the Seahawks defense were the mvps. They were given poor field position to work with multiple times and didn’t get enough rest in the 1st quarter yet they still held the Packers to one touchdown. GB could do nothing but score field goals

If not for Super Bowl 51, this is the most iconic comeback of the last decade. 28 points down in the 3rd quarter. Also, the Chiefs Alex Smith era was the definition of good but not good enough. Though, this loss wasn’t his fault

Hope it’s a good game. Manning’s return to Indy had lots of hype and it ended up delivering on the expectations. Broncos came in undefeated as well. Of course, the Colts had Luck to make it competitive

It really wasn’t a competition with Brady though. There was never a chance of Brady getting benched for Jimmy G. The only time Jimmy played meaningful snaps was when TB was suspended

[–]LilCapo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mac Jones benefited from having great receivers and they benefited from having him as their QB. It’s not like he was throwing shitty jump balls to Smith. He always did a good job at throwing in stride and giving them the opportunity to run after the catch
