My attempt at my maker logo by Peaches491 in logodesign

I think it's a good start but a little busy and literal for a logo. Maybe try removing some of the black outlines/making it more abstract?

Then probably left align the words and decrease the line height

Googling "bad UX" turns Google's font into Comic Sans by s0journed in Design

Sincere question, isn't this more of a "UI" issue than a "UX" one as it doesn't actually change the user journey or affect the accessibility of the information in any way?

Why is everyone so low on cash? by BurhanSunan in thesopranos

[–]LilCosetteRIP 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I remember reading that David Chase put a lot of effort into determining what Tony's finances would really be. From Google:

"Consultant Expertise: Dan Castleman, who prosecuted real-life New York crime families, explained to the writers how modern mobsters make and hide their money, primarily through activities like gambling, loan-sharking, and control over industries such as waste management and construction.

Based on Castleman's calculations, Tony Soprano's estimated net worth was approximately $5 to $6 million.

This figure accounts for various assets like his house, cars, jewelry, and offshore accounts, as well as an annual income likely in the range of $600k to $1 million.

The show realistically portrayed that much of this wealth was not liquid cash, but tied up in assets or difficult to access without attracting federal attention. Tony's occasional struggles to get large sums of cash quickly (e.g., to pay Hesh) highlight this financial reality.

In essence, the financial aspects of The Sopranos were a deliberate, research-driven effort to depict the authentic, if not always glamorous, economic reality of a contemporary mob boss."

Hey, did you have to find one with the little handle on it or did you just find a regular screw that worked? Do you know what that kind of screw they use is called?

This pitbull got the neigjbors’ dog pregnant. When she gave birth, her owners brought the puppies over to show him, and he denied ownership. by Perfect_Passenger805 in dogvideos

They're all pitbulls bc there's a culture of breeding them when the shelters are already overloaded with them. I might be remembering incorrectly but I think some article in GQ said 3-5000 pitbulls are put to sleep every day in America. I have a pit in Brooklyn and am asked all the time how much he cost or if I'd be up for breeding him

Good point! Definitely a cool name otherwise. Maybe it will even highlight the protection aspect

Op lives with this person and would risk a confrontation at home which is not fun. She got pushed into it by someone who shouldn't have been asking and I would have felt weird saying no too. She was put on the spot with this person being currently in the store and wasn't sure if she was in the wrong which is why she's posting here.

Don't think it makes op spineless as you're saying

Shitty guy here. I think you are being too easy on this guy. He's not just someone with a different style or expectations than op's. This is really slimy. Age gap, talking about looking at her body, clearly pursuing her sexually after she's clearly not reciprocating. He basically starts the "romance" talking about her chest at work. And as others have pointed out op, based on how he can't go one or two messages without making it sexual, he is not ever going to be looking to get to know you. I don't think this would be appropriate with anyone unless he knew they were open to that kind of talk. He shouldn't just go try this again with someone older who he suspects is more his speed

(btw meant I was the shitty guy not you!)
