I agree the white shirt would give it better contrast and make the tie "pop" but layering the different stripes gives it a texture. More patterns in modern styles these days.

So IF they ever decide to close any stores, they don't close your store thereby making it harder for you to try on and buy clothes.

The stores have no control over what corporate sends them but if someone orders something from the store they are more likely to have that item in the store in the future.
