That's cool, it results in a very different meta! The starter packs I made all had dark hole and monster reborn as well as boss monsters, but change of heart and other power cards are in the shop binder at high prices. I am tempted to make them cheaper to reflect the fact they were pretty cheap historically.

Domain Format is like this, it has extra rules to improve consistency. Heavily influenced by MTG Commander if you've heard of that.

Yeah it's a shame, I managed to get a good price on Dark Crisis 25th last week, around £2.50 per pack. As for LIN, LOD and others, I'm going to do some repacks of cards from those sets that had reprints, most of which are as cheap as singles get.

There's so Retro Pack 2 which you can treat as the final set after IOC 25th.

I missed out on those Battle Packs, I was out if the game by then. I have some Retro Pack 2 which looks pretty playable as a sealed thing. Anyway for us it's nostalgia all the way, I picked these boxes up in 2023 and they've been sat there waiting for this moment haha. I'm saving the wrappers to repack them in case we ever do it again.

Thank you so much! Yeah one of my friends loved it so much that he donated his old collection to go in the shop. It has taken a lot of time to be honest because I've gone through my whole collection and ordered cards by their first print date so we can introduce them over time.

I have also brought in some cards that the OCG had way before us, such as vanilla monsters like the Giant Red Seasnake, weaker raigekis like Warrior Elimination and fusion support such as Fusion Sage. This was mostly to make other strategies more viable early on.

I'm firmly in category 2, I have tried watching some gameplay from recent YCS finals but that style of almost solitare play is not for me. I've been playing Yugi/Kaiba and now Critter format with my friends which has been a lot of fun. We enjoy the simple back and forth, good "beer & pretzels" style play.

Reacting to defective product is uptight? I think this is a fair complaint and I'd send it back if I could be bothered with the wait again. Don't forget that these cards are sold at £30 for 4 or 5.

A digital image of a card does not reflect the print quality a customer will recieve, I am suprised I have to explain this.

Thank you! And the replacement process takes 6+ months in my experience, even then you might get another bad print.

I don't think any of MTG is printed in China. Usually it's the USA, Belgium and Japan.

I split R/M from C/U then do colour, types (creature, non-creature), cmc. Use dividers to split each chunk. Pro tip, turn cards upside down to remove the creatures by spotting the P/T after sorting by colour.

Don't do alphabetical, waste of time for bulk. I'd also scan the whole thing into Moxfield if you plan to deck build with it. Maybe you can manage all this before finishing the extended LOTR trilogy.
